3rd largest apparently but I’m always sceptical when teams seem to know each others budgets. Hamilton were attempting to sign Calvin Miller but he had already gave his word to  McGlynn despite being offered more money by Hamilton.

    😅

I'm a Villa man (been to two games this season), but all proper football men surely respect Chelsea. They aren't really a club you can dislike.

Did they let you return your season ticket for Newcastle?

I was pleased to see Paul Merson taking a more active role in Ford Super Sunday coverage.

Keano, Nev and Carra can generate the clickbait, but as a legacy fan, sometimes I just want to sit back and watch a top pro speaking nothing but common sense.

Loved pre match when he was saying because Villa hadn’t won a trophy in 30 years they would rather win the conference league than qualify for the champions league so it would be a walkover for Arsenal.

Because we made an utter c’nt of it for years. Back now though.

Actually everything regresses towards the total wage bill. That’s the one highly correlative metric that counts in all leagues ( more than turnover or transfers). Read the Numbers Game.

of course having a high home attendance makes the wage bill higher too, but that is the best predictor of final success

    Because we bought utter shite.

Quite obvious I would have thought.

So it is about results and not home attendances, thank you for confirming.

Enjoy the championship next season hopefully we join you if not we’ll have enough to see off those hicks from Arbroath.

Fan base generates income which then contributes to the quality of players you can buy. To make it even more simple for you, that means if you have more fans you have more money to buy better players. Therefore, bigger fan base means more potential and investment in a team. Your fan base puts you on par with Clyde, East Fife and the like.

So why has it taken Falkirk with this massive fan base so long to get out of this backwater league where they so greatly out number the opposition fans on a weekly basis? 😱

Well it’s a matter of being realistic with what your club can achieve. If you have a part-time standard support then you can’t expect to be a championship team let alone a premiership team which some Accies fans actually believe they should be. Do Accies fans not wonder why they always have smaller supports than the teams they think they should be competing with? It’s literally like Falkirk being angry because we’re not competitive with Hearts.

Last I was aware league positions etc were decided on results on the field and not attendances/fan bases? Hence Accies actually being one of these premiership teams you mention for a sustained period fairly recently.

If this has all changed then it’s quite big news and a lot of clubs need to be made aware of this as may aswell pack up and go home.

I’d be interested to see you find any of these Accies fans who you say actually believe we should be a premiership club.

Well obviously your club has lied, never 800 of your mob there. You’ve lied to try and make your club look less tinpot than it already is.

As I’ve said what would the club have to gain from lying considering the game is on tv and the evidence is there?  I expected a much better travelling support from the bairns after all the chat on here.

Joking aside, there couldn’t have been more than 3-400 Accies’ fans there. That’s pretty grim for them. Youth sales can’t plug a funding gap as big as that.

800 odd in the home end for a nothing game, I’m not too worried.

Less than 1500 for Falkirk ‘crowdwank’ FC for a game half an hour a way and too rub it in to their early title challengers is poor though.

A little unfair, it's not always pish. We have had four 5-0 wins and a 5-2. Losing at home to Annan and drawing with Edinburgh at a time when they were getting humped every week was inexcusable. Losing to a decent side like Alloa less so.

Dropping further points at home to Kelty and Montrose both of which are ones directly on Rankin for poor game management is also inexcusable imo.

Going out of the Scottish cup at the first hurdle after getting a favourable tie and somehow failing to get out of the Betfred cup group after putting ourselves in a great position is another couple of black marks against his name this season.

You can genuinely count on one hand the amount of times he’s changed games for the better while there are countless failures through poor subs or refusal thereof alongside poor set ups.

Really if we fail to get through the play offs I’d let him go. If we get through them we’ll just be calling for his head partway through next season again when we are near the bottom.

How are Fulton and Martin doing? Hope you’re looking after them.

As much as this is a joke Fulton would genuinely be a good signing for Falkirk given in goals is clearly the weakest area of the Grangemouth Galaticos.

He’s out of contract at the end of the season so I suspect he’ll be gone if we don’t get through the play offs. Only negative is he is made of glass.

Contrast that to Accies: guy near me shouts at the team and Tumilty to show a bit of urgency at 0-0 to be met with a glaring stare from Tumilty.

Couple of minutes later Tumilty blasts the ball as hard as he can into Section A where the guy was sitting/standing.

Wild how little reaction there was to this btw. Clearly intentional from Tumilty who I like and should know better.

What was your view of Williamson's kick out in the first half? I didn't think Barjonas should have been sent off either, I thought it screamed of the ref making up for him making an arse of it in the first half. I just wonder if it looked as clear a kick from the home end?

Meh it was basically right in front of me a bit of handbags imo. He could have booked both players or none either of which was probably the right decision.

  12. I take it there’s no way QoS have been playing like that all season? Otherwise you wouldn’t be in the situation you are in.  Obviously we were pretty toothless upfront but can’t really fault Queens today.

Rankin probably showing himself up again today. Poor game management to have used all his sub windows by the 65th minute even accounting for the Longridge injury as we could have quite easily finished with 9 if Kilday wasn’t able to continue.

McGowan looks worse each passing week and Williamson fails to impress again.  We really are going to struggle to even make the playoff final never mind any chance of getting though them.
