  1. 8's enough to go with though, maybe just up the roster and amount of starters?
  2. See, that's the benefit of running on a treadmill for the whole summer. I have a big fan, and don't bother with a top. No nipple issue whatsoever.
  3. It's been a while since I've posted in this part of the forum. Quick background - I was fat, 4 years ago I lost 5 stone and now I'm pretty lean. Mostly through diet and weightlifting, but I've done some cardio too. I've never been that into running, but over the last few years I'd dabbled in the occassional parkrun - normally around the 25 minute mark for 5k. I've owned a treadmill for years though. So when the lockdown hit, it became my weekday morning routine to go and run on the treadmill first thing to get me going (I was on furlough so needed something to do). I started off doing a 5k in around 25-28 minutes. This time quickly dropped, so I started increasing the distance. After less than a month I was doing a 10k every weekday morning. I've continued doing this despite being back at work now (although working from home). I've got my time down to 39m 16s for 10k - which still blows my mind saying it. However on Thursday night, when innocuously just getting up from the couch, my foot gave a crunch and a pretty sharp pain on the top. It dulled to an ache fairly quick though. The next morning, I managed to run 5.5k before I started getting a sharp pain again and it lingered all day. I took the weekend off and it felt fine yesterday morning. Again around the 5k mark yesterday I felt a slight twinge again so immediately stopped. This morning, I felt it straight away - so no run at all. I think I'm going to have to take the full week to give it a chance. A couple of guys I've spoken to suggest it's probably a case of needing to relace my shoes (which I did over the weekend) but I guess I should have let my foot recover for longer before getting back to it. It's infuriating, but I guess these things happen. Presumably the advice I've had on relacing is in line with what folk on here would suggest though? As I said, I think it's the tendon on the upper inside of the foot that's been aggrevated but the foot's fine load-bearing and most of the rest of the time. It's just when I run that it seems to bother me, or when I walk somewhere with the dog/go golfing and have to stand or walk sideways on a steep bank.
  4. When we planning on fitting this in? Everyone's drafting mega late this year.
  5. I'd give it a whirl again. Struggling to get that excited about this season (and not just because of the Hopkins trade) but FF should get me hooked again.
  6. That's not necessarily what I'm meaning. For example, we could play a 4-4-2 in the next 9 league games, get back round to Hamilton & Motherwell again whereby Ketts has identified they're weak against that 4-3-3 setup, and we're too short on numbers to make it work. That's taking it to the extreme, but we're obviously looking to implement this tactic on an at least semi-regular basis.
  7. My biggest concern about the current plan, is the lack of options on the bench. Mullin, Gardyne etc. don't do the same role that Erwin or Stewart does, and it leaves Shaw as our only striker on the bench. Unless we have another wonderkid lined up of course. But an injury or suspension to one of our forward three and that essentially rules that strategy out all together.
  8. I didn't realise until someone pointed it out over the weekend - but Iacovitti is only 22. Seems an excellent addition on the face of it. What a ridiculously young back four we have at the moment, Donaldson is the old man of the group at 25!
  9. Talking of English, please stop using the word "of" when you mean "have". Once in each of the first 3 sentences is just taking the piss. Also, it's Iacovitti. Not Lacovitti. Everywhere you've seen it's been a capital i not a lower case L.
  10. That's one soft midfield, you need a Draper or Tillson in there to counteract the attacking setup. Paton is already your forward thinking player in that setup. If Morris isn't fit I'd be tempted to start with the same XI that started against Motherwell. It's not fair to compare him to Stewart, and I think he'd now be the inexplicable target for the boo-boys this year, but I thought Erwin had a good game. It would be nice to see Mullin get a run out though.
  11. To be fair, anyone that read the accompanying e-mail (so was receiving it that way), it explicitly said it won't let you login until tomorrow night.
  12. Presumably that'll be one of the guys from the "Russian Staggies" facebook lot. Unless we have a surprising abundance of Russian Supperters.
  13. I don't think I've seen it mentioned, but I note there's another TWD spin-off launching in a couple of months. The Walking Dead: World Beyond
  14. I see our co-managers inistence on wasting Stewart on the wing at Mullin's expense early on during the season has fooled numerous people into believing he's actually genuinely a winger. And a left-sided one at that. He's absolutely not. We have two wingers (both right sided incidentally) - Mullin & Gardyne. And with Gardyne being unlikely to be back before the split there is simply no defending the dereliction of duty that was failing to bring in another winger.
  15. Texans @ Jags again please. I had a lovely time this year.
  16. Also, I'd like to see the booking again from Sibbald I think it was, on Paton. Personally thought it looked two-footed and he was lucky to stay on the pitch.
  17. I was in line with the 2nd, he was comfortably onside, honking positioning and tracking by the Livi defender to let him run clear. You can't see that from the highlight angle though, it's too slow to pan round. I wasn't too optimistic seeing the lineup but credit to the managers, they got the tactics spot on. Livi's tactics seemed to consist of just lumping it forward and pressing absolutely everything. 3 at the back and a physical midfield nullified that most of the time. Mackay would have been the easy, lazy choice for MOTM given the goals (like the BBC did), but it was Draper & Donaldson that stood out for me. Erwin's growing on me game by game too, I reckon he could do with a couple of goals to get him up and running too.
  18. It's been cancelled. All of it. (Last night hurt bad) Get Bill O'Brien to f**k, please.
  19. I think that number includes the reserves and u21s that are fit and available. There's mention of having to rope in school kids from our junior teams if not.

    Week 11

Pretty nervous about this one, a proper litmus test for the postseason.
  21. Oh me oh my. What an epic. Commiserations Fucti, quite literally could not have been run any closer. Time to squeeze in another provided we don't break the old record again (7 weeks had been the record until now on 3 occasions)?
