  1. This photo is fantastic. Love big Marko... thought his playing days would have been over after last season but good to see he's still playing and enjoying it.
  2. Sad that Marsh has left but it didn't look likely that he'd get into the team much this season if every player was fully fit. I liked him in midfield last year but I don't Ferguson ever really trusted him there and obviously didn't in defence - his first touch is pretty bad compared to the new midfielders/attack minded players in the team this season. He seemed a really nice guy and obviously enjoyed playing for the team so it's obvious that the fans are a bit annoyed he's left but if he wasn't going to get guaranteed game time it's understandable why he left before the season's properly started I think the Perry comments sum up the Clyde fans pretty well. He's an ex-Rangers player that doesn't come with exactly glowing reviews from fans of his previous teams, so it's easy for fans that aren't happy with the manager to use it to slag the signing before he's kicked a ball. I've never seen the boy play football before. He has 16 u-21 Scotland caps so couldn't have been a bad player when he was younger, either that or there was no competition for places in defence during that period. Take comments from him playing 2 levels above us with a pinch of salt as it's a different standard and sounds like he was struggling with injuries as well. I'll reserve any judgement on him until he's played a few games for us but hopefully he does well - and if he doesn't, it's only a short term deal so he'll likely be off in January anyways. On paper it seems like a decent signing
  3. Odd post. That matter was dealt with years ago and we were compensated fairly for the game never being arranged...
  4. Yep, we had our fingers burned with a few players on loan from other clubs that charged us more for not playing them than playing them. Need to be pretty sure they're capable of being first team players otherwise it's a waste of time and costly exercise for the club.
  5. Easton signing is fantastic news as realistically he should be playing at a higher level than this league. If everyone stays fit and we add a couple new faces (keeper, centre half and striker) then we should have a good chance for promotion. Exciting close season for once Looks like the back 5 picks itself already and the real competition will be for midfield and playing up top.
  6. Feel sorry for Durie with his injuries this season. Going by his Twitter account he's still not fully recovered from the groin injury he had surgery for during last summer so hopefully he gets over it and gets a new club as soon as possible. Not the best right back we've ever had but certainly not the worst.
  7. Would love Gemmell to sign up for next season. Having him fully fit after a good pre-season and he'd cause every defence in this league a problem - he's the type of striker we've missed for years. Pleased with Gibson, Linton and Marsh re-signing. Hopefully Gormley and Higgins have more goals in them this season. Millen and Smith re-signing would be the icing on the cake.
  8. McCluskey is too good for this league and should be able to get a team in League 1 at least, if not another Championship side. Not sure why he got such a rough time from our support as he's a nice guy and decent footballer as well.
  9. Losing 6-1 to the 2nd worst team in the premier league. Astronomical wage bill and most likely more spending and debt incurred because they couldn't get promoted, liquidation part 2 on the horizon. Ricky Foster. Bell's punch. Playing 4 men up front for the last 30 minutes and still not getting a goal. Mohsni going fucking mental at the end of the game. The new owner/chairman not even going to the last game of the season because he knew it was a fucking waste of time. Kris Boyd's performance yesterday. Oh my fucking god I think I'm going to die laughing. Getting a warning that I've used too many emoticons.

    Breaking Bad

] Breaking Bad is so fucking good, I won't be able to watch it on Monday so will need to wait til Tuesday, no Internet access for me. The last scene in the last episode, imo, should've stopped when the first bullet was shot but apart from that the last episode was one of my favoruites. The scene when Walt was on the phone to Jesse was so it was unreal. Can't wait for next week's

    Breaking Bad

Can't fucking wait for this! Best TV series I've ever watched, enjoyed it all the way through and now I can't wait for the final episodes. Brilliant that Netflix will be showing the episodes every Monday. So excited.
  13. I've not personally, but a girl on my course had a clear container of food (think it was fruit or something) and was allowed to eat throughout an exam in January. Email your advisor or lecturer and see what they say but as long as it doesn't affect anyone else (ie smells bad or noisy) then I can't see much of a problem with it.
  14. I get a test in all my classes every 6 weeks, if I pass (40%) and maintain a 60% average in them then I don't need to sit the exam. I had 2 exams in January (got 61 and 68 for them) because those classes only ran for the first semester. For my other 5 classes (that ran both semesters), 2 of them were just coursework based, and in the other 3 classes I managed to keep the 60% average. I do Computer Science at Strathclyde if anyone's interested. A lot of it is programming and logic behind it, I enjoy both aspects but my programming needs improving over summer to keep up with everyone else.
  15. Got exempt from all my second year exams, the year after I got exempt from my exams last year as well. Really hard year, especially first semester when I had to do 7 classes, but I've came out with another 60+% average. Picked my classes for next year and into 3rd year I go.
  16. Already watched Dear Zachary when it was on BBC3 years ago, pretty sure there was a thread on GN a while ago on it. Great documentary. Watched Once Brothers (great watch without knowing any of the story before it) and Hoop Dreams and they were both good, watching Control Room right now and it's really interesting. I'll tape Undefeated when it's on Monday as I couldn't find that on YouTube. I watched The Impostor at the cinema last year and it's similar to Dear Zachary in the sense that the less you know about it before the better watch it is. Twist near the end had every in the cinema gasping. Think I'll give those 30 for 30 ESPN films a watch next. I've watched every Louis Theroux documentary and I've loved them all.
  17. Doing a rolling accumulator right now, thought I'd use this thread as a kind of progress report for it. Started with a tenner, put on Leeds/draw double chance vs Peterborough last night (ended 1-1) and its winnings on Heat vs Hawks at midnight. Today I put on over 1.5 goals in an Austrian game (ended 1-1) which came in and now I'm waiting on Heat to (hopefully) beat 76ers tonight (losing 22-21 after first quarter so far) and that'll get me up to £20ish. Never done one of these before and after a terrible season of betting I thought I'd give it a go. I'll probably chicken out if I ever reach triple figures and start again.
  18. He did a lot like this when he was in FCW I think, they're really good. Only found them when he was involved in the apparent Mick Foley feud that went terribly wrong - I've not seen much of his Shield stuff as I haven't been watching it lately, but I watched it last night and he was by far the best on the mic out of the shield. Y2J and Daniel Bryan were brilliant, and it'll be good to see Kane and Bryan in the EC together. Ziggler has to cash in his MITB, I thought he must have already done so and failed because he's had it for so long. I really, really don't like the 3 hour episodes though, hopefully gets moved back to 2 hours but I don't know if the viewing figures are still good after they changed the length of the programme?
  19. CM Punk was in town today looking for Forbidden Planet according to his Twitter. Would've went fucking mental if I seen him, probably would've let out a really girly scream and asked for a photo.
  20. Start back on Tuesday, 10-5, back to reality. Really looking forward to starting back though, bored of doing nothing after my work cut back its hours this month. ETA - no days off this year on my timetable which is a pain in the arse. Mostly 9-5s with daft gaps in the middle of the day but it means I'll be able to do uni work during the day rather than at night. Hopefully I'll do as well as I did last year.
  21. @DavidThomson_ already followed Jimmy85 because I respect a sevco hater. Probably going to follow the list up there, I tweet about football, music and whatever's happening in life that's funny/slightly amusing.
  22. Just watched Drive, great film. Love how it's got such a typical Hollywood storyline but it's so dark it makes it completely different to all those films. Ryan Gosling is just a terrific actor; odd seeing Joan from Mad Men not in one of her typical dresses that she wears in Mad Men (tbh I didn't even recognise her at first). Sound track and effects are so good. 9/10
  23. Anyone know when Strathclyde start back? Haven't got any emails about it yet.
  24. Really starting to prefer Smackdown over Raw lately, just saw the episode aired in America last night and I actually enjoyed it as Raw is almost beginning to turn into a chore to watch. PTP on commentary were brilliant.
  25. Got my award letter through from SAAS, £700 bursary this year.
