  1. Players arguing on the park with each other now - two players I would want to see here next season - McKenna especially he’s massive for us Excellent
  2. It is one of these place for everyone green initiative things - the cycle lane will run approximately 1 mile - there are various other silly things they are doing along the way though. £14 million. Fourteen…
  3. I have not got a clue - from what I could see when I was looking earlier to see when his deal finished with County it said that he stayed in Dingwall now but also mentioned the Montrose travelling and staying from Thursday onwards thing. Jury still out on him for me but I do think for his age he’s pretty impressive even if he’s not really shone too much in his minutes so far, think that’s definitely down to the overall state of affairs rather than anything else. If he is going to make a career for himself I suppose he will either have to move, get used to travelling or join a club way up north. Not sure County will be offering an extension.
  4. I can’t imagine there being much of a turnout tonight at all so I wouldn’t worry about it too much - weathers as miserable as what’s been happening on the park
  5. Yeah I think McIntyre just really loves MacKinnon - wouldn’t be surprised to see him sign on here next season when his deal with County ends. Would not be completely against it he’s good for his age and got Montrose loan player of the season when he was at them.
  6. 539 days to make an absolute mess of a perfectly good road £14 million well spent… fucking hell.
  7. Let’s hope this is true then as will still be up there with the best keepers in League 1.
  8. I think next season he’d be great to just have sitting in midfield - he’s also a perfect squad player in the fact he can cover many positions. Just seems like a solid guy to have in the squad I’d like to see us try keep him for a couple of years.
  9. I am not in any Jim must absolutely stay bandwagon I see the argument for changing it up too - I just think that if we are going to be making any changes then we should be doing it right now because whoever the manager is going to be next season needs to start working on next season yesterday it’s that important. Trying to keep the players we want to keep and get players on board and ready for next season should be the priority right now, there is an extremely slim chance we manage to stay up but let’s face it it’s not happening. I think there were plenty of promising signs with McIntyre even up to the mental scenes in Kirkcaldy where Adams scored - but after that it has become absolutely farcical. Not seen anything like it at Arbroath or anywhere in the country really. I remember really looking forward to the game at home to Ayr because I felt like it was all starting to come back together and boys were starting to come back and we could maybe kick on and within 7 minutes Delaney was off, then ToB (his injuries and form this season has been horrendous) and then Walker got stretchered off a minute after the second half restarted. Little, Steele and Hamilton also suffered serious injuries while McIntyre has been here and even Gaston has been in and out injured. There has been serious problems with every single one of the defenders at the club while McIntyre has been here and that’s not just the guys that were here already that’s been the case with the guys we signed to come in and cover for them. It has been a total shitshow. Not even taking into account the fact that several other players in positions all over the park have been in and out with serious injuries. McKenna probably the most important one in terms of going forward. Woukd struggle to name players who have had no injuries to deal with since McIntyre has been here, there’s maybe been a handful? I’m not sure why it’s been this way either, you’d have to think that it’s purely bad luck but it’s been very strange. I just think that if we want to be in a stable position come the start of August or whenever it is the league starts we need to decide what we are going to do right now and not 6/7/8 weeks down the line. Signing Scott Stewart and Michael McKenna got to be the priority for us - I’d even go as far as saying Darren Lyon too but I love the guy and definitely biased when it comes to him but if we could have a solid group of 10 or whatever to build on then next season should be at a minimum decent.
  10. I am not sure it is. I mean we will be in L1 and if he got the job and could keep a core of the guys we’ve got now we should be perfectly ok in L1 next season, we will have the biggest PT budget in the country too. I wouldn’t expect an unbelievable season but I don’t think it would be a big gamble at all. All the above got their chance in L1 apart from Murphy and Brown. Imagine we’d said that about Sheerin. If there was a sold experienced candidate out there then fine but I can think of absolutely nobody. I also think he’s that well loved by the fans that we could go and sell 1400 season tickets for L1 again because people would want to back the guy
  11. I would want to give him an actual shot at it though. McCabe at Airdrie. Andy Graham at Alloa. Michael Tidser at Kelty. Peter Murphy at Annan. Jordon Brown at Peterhead. It’s happened quite a lot recently and on the whole from the above they have all done pretty well
  12. Dunno if people are taking the piss but there’s a wee bit of something in my head that makes Gold feel like a no bad shout. Seen it quite a lot now and teams have done ok or very well in Airdries cass. I’d be much more confident of Scotty Stewart and McKenna signing on and others. I’m not expecting amazing things next season it’s going to be a rebuilding job - I think he’d maybe do quite well and have the backing of the whole club and the fans and the pressure wouldn’t come too quickly either if things weren’t the best like it maybe would be with someone else.
  13. So just chuck 6 weeks of preparing for next season away for a ‘fresh start’ - why would it not be a fresh start if they come in right now?
  14. What’s this taint stuff Nobody coming in now will be expected to keep us up - this season is over and away - the work for next season cannot wait whoever the manager is going to be needs to get started on working towards it ASAP
  15. Agree I think our best chance to gain any consistency or go into next season in a stable position we either need to keep McIntyre and give him a fair chance of it - we obviously thought he was the man when we appointed him so not sure why that’s changed based off of what he’s had to deal with Or we get rid right now and have someone new in who we think is the right man within the next couple of weeks - if we leave it until the end of the season we are at risk of not only losing out on players we have at the club already but potential new signings too as they’ll not know what the script is for next year and will end up elsewhere - finding this right guy to come in as manager with a whole coaching staff seems a lot harder than giving McIntyre a chance at it
  16. Offer Scott Stewart an incredible contract - please
  17. He will do very well at East Fife for a couple of year I’ve no doubt but given his age think his period of losing the plot will come slightly earlier than it did at Arbroath / Forfar
  18. Absolutely right decision - Dick Campbell is brilliant when everything is going well but when things start going wrong he’s toxic, a total gob shite and to be completely honest a total w**k. Obviously things can’t go well forever in football so that’s not just his fault but moving on definitely best thing for Arbroath and himself too
  19. If we are going to get rid Do not wait and do it right away - there is no point in prolonging the process the season is over and if someone new comes in they need to start on next season right now Decision needs made as soon as possible ETA - I actually cannot think of a single potential replacement - an absolutely wild shout would be Davie Gold based off of how well McCabe has done but I feel like that is very far fetched
  20. That’s a team full of players who know we’re down, know that they’re away at the end of the season and have more or less given up now playing against teams who are fighting for everything. Only ones I am confident of being here next season from the players on the park right now are Gold and McIntosh.
  21. I’m not sure how he’d be tainted with this relegation Jose Mourinho wouldn’t have kept us up in these circumstances. Fair enough if you want JM binned - I am not sure it would be the best move. Think very quickly it could end up with just shouting for the managers head as soon as things go wrong, like I said 3 months into next year and it’s looking like a poor move with the new guy if we did make a change then what happens then? Surely he’s already looking at and talking to players for next year - like Pink said before your summer targets are usually lined up 6 months beforehand. If he leaves the players he’d been talking to already don’t come then I dunno how we’d manage to assemble a half decent squad for next season. Loads of guys will have an idea where they’re off to already. If we’re going to be binning him we’d need to have the next guy lined up and that next guy will have needed to start trying putting things in place and putting feelers out there - also whoever that guy may be will have probably went for it the last time and knew they were second choice. I’m not sure who would be a better option than McIntyre either really. Does anyone even have any suggestions?
  22. Wonder how often a manager comes in and then is so short on players he has to stick the sub keeper upfront and goes about 10 weeks with 13-15 players and then the rest of the season with a handful of players in and out the team injured? He’s been dealt the worst hand he possibly could have You’re talking about ripping up the whole thing again and getting a whole new manager and coaching staff in - what happens if we get rid and start with another new manager and then 2 months into next season we’ve got off to a nightmare start in L1 - do we just get rid of them all again and start looking for another manager and coaching staff. You need to give them a proper chance
  23. I think we’ve just got to give McIntyre a pre season and a proper summer window to get his own group of guys together otherwise we’re kind of chucking him without giving him a proper chance at the job He has been chasing his tail and firefighting the whole time he’s been here with a team and squad that would be up against it in this league even if we were strong and never had injuries to deal with Right now there’ll be a lot of players in that dressing room who know they are away and sub consciously think we are down and that’ll have an effect too Absolutely no point switching manager again in the summer for me
  24. I have lost countless number of hours on this site - mates regularly send a mind this into the chats with the ‘on this day’ reports - a brilliant effort from you
