  1. But saying people have been ‘bought off by the board’ re McIntyre because we have announced a signing. They’ve probably, even though they don’t particularly like the decision, just come to terms with it and are getting on with it like adults
  2. Look... The club have said what's happening, they gave everyone an opportunity to hear what's happening live and in person and the facility to ask any question you wanted if you needed to It's not what you want, it's not what I want, it's not what a lot of people want, but it's the reality - the board have made a tough decision and they think that's what is best for the club They know what the plans are and what McIntyre wants to put in place... we don't, none of us do. So I'm not going to personally sit and be arrogant enough to think that I know best and any other decision is flat out wrong So people might not like it, I don't like it. But are folk really going to bang on every day until next season starts like stroppy children not getting their own way because I don't know why anyone would want to do that. They'd maybe be better off screaming it into a cushion instead. What is anyone gonna get out of constantly repeating themselves about wanting him sacked after it's all been addressed by the club and the decision has been made McIntyre might not be a success next year. I lean that way with my thinking too but he is here to stay, the board like his plans for next season and going forward that's all he can be judged on, maybe just maybe it will work...
  3. Aye what’s the point banging on about McIntytre leaving now - meaningless football match for us playing against a team trying to secure their safety. He’s here to stay next year so give him a chance to build his team His summer signings and the competitive games next year when they start are the only important things going forward now after Wednesday
  4. Would suspect it would be short lived and he’d be nowhere near them next season anyway so I would rather that’s the end of it personally
  5. And that’s completely fair and there’s a 50/50 chance you’ll be right But the early signs are promising with the signing of Gallagher and Stewart and Dow re signing. If players get moved on who don't want to be here and players of that calibre keep signing on for the club (wanting to play for McIntyre) then you never know what will happen. Just don't see the point of having that attitude when he's quite clearly now not going anywhere after Wednesday nights meeting, you can’t let yourself be that depressed and be greeting over it for another 6 month
  6. Can you not just wait and see what happens next year?
  7. EK then maybe Aye no up to it for me - he’s got talent but bit chubby and old to be a good winger in L1 now surely. Would be a no bad signing for L2 maybe end up at Forfar
  8. 32 and spent most of the season on the bench at Stenny think we should maybe be aiming a bit higher especially when we’ve already got 4 players who can play out wide Hoping we get a really good winger in as our last one
  9. Pretty outrageous thing for a clubs manager to say to be fair. Duncan Ferguson can do one the big fud. Focus on your own team
  10. Train in Edinburgh at I’m guessing the Oriam now too I notice. Now we’ve not really got any local / Dundee boys it makes sense. Will probably help quite a bit for the central belt players.
  11. I would rather everyone stayed up - L1 would be much harder with either Inverness or QP - QP especially have money to chuck at a decent FT team next year. Would rather take our chances with a Hamilton team staying down after they’ve not managed to come up this season. Imagine that would have affected their budget going into next season and would keep the overall division a bit tighter than what a QP or Inverness potentially would
  12. Just 7 I think - we have beat them and then very nearly beat them again but ended up drawing Anyway it’s a weird comment to make, if we’ve given up like he thinks we have then surely he must’ve thought we’d given up when we played them…. We managed one single shot on goal He is a bit of a fud
  13. Heard tonight went quite well - sent a lot of decent updates Sure someone will expand on it but glad to hear
  14. Yeah I know and fair point - but not sure it will change anything really Maybe a bit out of line announcing it but it’s given everyone a wee boost here so I’m no arsed and all for it Pretty positive the management etc at Airdrie all knew and people at the club knew Arbroath have done an interview and everything with him - I am sure it’s just the Airdrie fans who didn’t know it was officially done
  15. Genuinely no arsed about it to be fair. Seems like it was doing the rounds in some circles at Airdrie anyway. Not sure what a good way to find out someone like that leaving is, imagine we will feel similar with the likes of McKenna and Hamilton if that happens. If Falkirk or East Fife were to announce them now not sure it would be any different to waiting to hear it from the club
  16. Tbh I am just biased and think McMillan is the best RB in the league. Him and Lawless always give me the fear. LB I think McMann been excellent whenever I’ve seen him and it was an easy decision but interesting to see you go Strapp
  17. f**k knows - would imagine so if Airdrie fans had heard it was happening before Arbroath fans even had the slightest clue - think we probably asked for it to be announced just now as there is a meet the manager Q and A tonight and this will be used as a big positive and example of kind of players we will be trying to sign for next year. It’s a statement signing for McIntyre and the club. My biggest concern over McIntyre would be if players would want to come here (or stay here but this was before Stewart and Dow re signed) but doesn’t get any better PT wise than Gallagher and as Dick used to say all the time good players attract good players.
  18. Darren Lyon is basically your jack of all trades can fill in wherever and would be a brilliant addition to the squad. Other than McKenna who I think might be away and Colin Hamilton who I’m almost certain is away (although might be very wrong) him and Gaston are the 2 I would like to sign on the most
  19. Hopefully he gets the chance to atleast start out at right midfield this season… I have absolutely no idea - would be happy to see him stay - also if he doesn’t then maybe the time has come to try and get another younger player in that position who still has 3/4/5 plus years in them
  20. Based on only what I’ve seen against us and on television games / highlights - I’ve not paid as much attention to other threads and this league as much this year for obvious reasons so maybe some poor shouts in here Dabrowski McMillan Gallagher Holt McMann Scott Brown Adam Frizzell Fitzpatrick Easton Watt Graham
  21. Not a bad side for league down as it stands Keeper Steele / Walker O’Brien CH LB Stewart / Stowe Gold Slater Murray / Dow McIntosh Gallagher
  22. Thanks mate Hoping it’s Brechin so I can take the game in
  23. Thank you Hedgecutter - I hope you pull through and get the job done. Big one the night eta - Teekasule thank you - just saw Hedgecutters name
