  1. Plenty time now to get the enclosure rebuilt [emoji106]
  2. This is where compromise muddys the waters, I don't understand why the LL just didn't stick to their intended path and invite applications to the new WoSFL without agreeing to take on baggage. They had no need. Chances are now, if there is SJFA involvement, we'll have some LL feeder clubs playing in a Junior Cup, and some in the South Cup. We'll have some WoSFL clubs claiming they're still Junior clubs yadayada.
  3. Anything that keeps the SJFA involved is not a truly independent WoSFL the same as EoSFL and SoSFL, the Junior clubs who moved into the EoS relinquished SJFA membership, that should be a non-negotiable requirement. Will it be a brand new league, or rebranded WRJFA?
  4. When did the clubs decide that? Great if true.
  5. I was under the impression the WRJFA have effectively stood down (withdrawn their request to be a Pyramid league) and clubs are free to apply to the WoSFL as they wish, ie the WRJFA would continue with any that didn't wish to move? Given that the application process is supposed to be open now until 31st March, there needs to be a bit of clarity surrounding it surely. A meeting on 23rd suggests something else afoot, but doesn't leave clubs much time.
  6. So is the application process for the new WoSFL open and underway?
  7. The new season is due to start on 25th July. If the season is binned (and I really can't see any other outcome at the moment), if the situation is improved by June, then kick the season off on 4th July, with pre-season games in June. Get clubs back on the pitch earlier and stretch the season out, could even have a winter break in January.
  8. NO FOOTBALL DAY 1: Toilet roll supplies secured. Gogsy has already started cracking jokes.
  9. Ok SPFL alert - this isn't an SPFL thread.............
  10. Apparently we're not anywhere near the peak of this virus yet in the UK, and it may be 6-8 weeks away. They're not going to resume football in the meantime, season is gubbed.
  11. Now that there's no football to talk about, we can fully focus on this thread to keep us going
  12. We'll just need to wait and see how long the suspension lasts. Now that it's off, I guess they will want to be 110% sure of no risk before resuming, meaning the season could be gubbed.
  13. Games a bogey LL, EoS, SoS and LL U20 leagues all off.
  14. Do you have any examples? in fact, don't bother, Mallo will be chuckling away to himself.
  15. Absolutely, it should not be a sticking point that derails anything.
  16. I don't recall too many people describing the South Challenge Cup as "more valued and prestigious" as the Junior Cup. It's not, it's a relatively new regional cup, but the opportunity is there to expand it and make it into something bigger and better.
  17. It wasn't that important to the many Junior clubs who left (and are leaving) to join the EoS. It shouldn't be used as a comfort blanket. If it is practical and workable to retain it as a national trophy in the current fixture calendar then fair enough, but I personally can't see a way of doing this or that clubs in the east will re-engage with it.
  18. Nobody said that, you're making stuff up again.
  19. The LL, EoS and SoS run the competition between them, they meet regularly. I guess the WoS will be added to that now. Given the same person does the fixtures for all three leagues, he schedules dedicated weekends for cup fixtures.
