  1. I think Calum got a bit bored but I have a bit of free time on my hands. Newcastle United - "The club was founded in December 1892 by the merger of two local teams Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End who were previously rivals in the Northern League, but after West End fell into financial difficulties they decided to merge." (Oh my! Rivals, you say?) Aberdeen - "The current Aberdeen F.C. was formed following the merger of three city clubs, Aberdeen, Victoria United and Orion, in 1903." (I assume fans of every club where consulted about the move?) Just two of an array of clubs who "screwed" fans by making a new club out of their old one.
  2. I don't mean in that sense. I just mean that Pearse was very smart in his dealing, perhaps taking advantage of the Italian's enthusiasm to run a club.
  3. Massone comes out with a gem in the article about Flynn winning. "I have received offers from investors but I'm ready to go it alone, pay off our debts and bring the stadium into club ownership." He's either the worst liar in the history of football or my theory about oil under the pitch may well be true.
  4. While that's what's been publicised, it's not the case for some players.
  5. I'll say not paid. Considering it's been late on 6 out of the 7 months for some players so far, I don't see the trend turning.
  6. While I don't respect Massone's actions through all of this, I think that a lot of this is rather unfair on him. I'm not saying this for definite but I'm sure that most other clubs have creditors that they have yet to pay. It seems that since one took Massone & Co. to court, the rest have followed suit and jumped on the bandwaggon. I respect that these are hard times for local businessmen/women but I think there needs to be a bit of reason here. Of course, the stumbling block on that is the fact that Massone hasn't answered these creditors initially and now thinks he looks like a fool if he gets payment plans with them which is of course ridiculous. Two things needs to happen quickly for him for the football club to benefit; 1) Agree these payment plans with the creditors if possible so he doesn't have to appear in court every other week. 2) He needs to re-establish the local links with local businesses. Massone needs to realise that while the football club is losing money, the real people who are suffering are the businessmen in this economic crisis. However, I think there needs to be some realisation of the football club's position from the creditors as well. 2000th post
  7. Well, pardon me for seeing the letters "A", "N", "D" and "Y" in your username and assuming your name was Andy. You don't play darts in your spare time, do you?
  8. It really is a bit sad that he's enjoying seeing our club in pain. But never mind, there's been worse before him and there will be worse after him. Massone must have ran over his cat or something...
  9. Something certainly isn't adding up. It's either extremely poor financial planning or they've discovered a large oil source under the pitch.
  10. According to a member of Livi Lions (not the most reliable source, I must admit) a few members of the first team squad weren't paid but the majority were. I'm sick of these goons and their lies.
  11. I should have said as long as we survive. I'd be much happier with a stable club in the second division than this joke in the first.
  12. I understand what you mean but to be honest these players have continually played their hearts out for the club despite the fact that some of them haven't been paid on time in 6 out of the 7 months that the Italians have been in power in. If a points deduction gets the players paid and those lying arseholes out of our club then I'm happy. If we have to take a trip to the seaside league briefly for that to happen, then so be it.
  13. Did they seriously not pay it after they promised to? I hope the players strike.
  14. For those who don't know, the 3 players who were paid were the three highest earners; McPake, Mackay and Innes.
  15. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAS!!!!! Bainy Boy is here.

  16. I reckon they got a tip from someone inside the club that it was going to happen and just published the story too quickly.
  17. USH story It appears both Massone and Flynn weren't lying. I don't understand why you would pay money to commision the USH when you aren't paying the players though.
  18. Weren't you the one who was claiming we would die in a few weeks about 3 months ago?
  19. There's quite clearly a difference between Drink-driving and posting on a forum while you're drunk.
  20. Oh, you know I was only having a laugh. Lighten up. Listen, I'm sitting thoroughly on the fence when it comes to Massone and Angellini. I'm not supportive of their actions to some creditors or the fact that they've paid the players late just before christmas but I'm holding out hope (however false it may be) that their plan to clear all of the debt by the end of the season will actually work. If they manage to do that then all will be forgiven from me at least. I respect their ambition for the club which is one of the other reasons why I'm sitting on the fence and not protesting vehemothly against them. It's tough being a Livi supporter just now and really, as a 16 year old, there's not much I can do. I'm just holding out hope that we'll pull through and I'll support the chairman until such time where it really seems unlikely that we won't.
