What exactly is the injury that's keeping Hilson out? I hope it's not reoccurrence of old injury or the doommongers predicting he was a risky signing could be proved right.

    A groin injury, apparently.

Shame he's not been fit so far as he looked quite useful in pre season. His contract is up in January so maybe Ross/Fowler thought of him as a risky signing too..

St Mirren v Hearts "B" pits St Mirren's first-team, whose U20s play in the national U20s league, against Hearts "B"/U20s who also play in that league .

I hope we play our u20s.

They'd pump Hearts colts and make a mockery of the whole idea (and probably put on a better performance than our first team).

Liam Smith has penned a one-year contract extension with Hearts ahead of a loan move to St Mirren.

The right-back has extended his stay at Tynecastle until 2019, and will immediately head out on loan to the Paisley 2021 Stadium for the duration of this season.

The Scotland U21 has previously enjoyed loan spells at East Fife and Raith Rovers, and has made 38 first-team appearances for the Jambos since his debut in 2014.

    Any use?

  4. Excellent start to the season after a nervous start.

First half hour we were poor, the pace of Austin and Hippolyte had me thinking it was going to be a long game until Stelios became Stelios and from then, we didn't look like letting off; Falkirk shat themselves and didn't look like they wanted anything after that. Second half had the same passion and swagger we had at the end of last season; Felt Smith and Morgan swapping sides made a huge difference, Morgan had the big full back on toast all day long. Sutton and Reilly look as if they could form a good partnership up front with Smith, Stelios & Morgan pinging balls in from the wings.

With Davis, Eckersley & Magennis plus another couple of signings to come, I think we could be in for a good season.
