Nick Cave on bbc4. Just noticed that there is a whole night of him on tonight. Pity there wasnt a documentary- one of the first nme issues i bought was his now infamous interview when he was absolutely wrecked. Cant remember who did it but james brown rings a bell. Anyway, it sort of put me off him a bit at the time, but i reckon that there is a cracking autobiography there.

The Last Party, by John Harris. Cracking book on the rise and fall of Britpop, which doesn't go far enough into the dirt that surrounded some of the bands involved, but digs quite deep all the same. Justine Frischmann seems to have a lot to say for herself - wouldn't mind reading the bits of her interview left out for "legal reasons".
