    EK then maybe

Aye no up to it for me - he’s got talent but bit chubby and old to be a good winger in L1 now surely.

Would be a no bad signing for L2 maybe end up at Forfar

Am sure Jim Weir signed JK at Forfar last time around from Alloa,I'd take him as a squad player if he was looking for a team around this area. But as other's have mentioned his best years are past him.

Doesn't play ahead of Hester that's for sure.

Out and out finisher and I fancy he'd score goals if given the chances.

This week is probably not the best week to be asking because he probably had his worst ever game for us on Wednesday night.

    Cheers.

Kane has been hot and cold this year for us we have had flashes off what he can do but not enough,Grady would be well worth a punt and at 22 still very young.

Feel for Brechin as winning the league is a great feeling but that's just half the work done.So bloody hard to get back in the league now after you fall out, every year theirs seems to be an up and coming LL team.

  3. So am right in saying after Saturday if Brechin don't win the league Grady McGrath contract will be up?Could be a Mo player by next week?

Heard we are after him along with EF and Forfar....See what happens but he is defo worth a punt.

Would be pretty disappointed if you guys or we  were to relinquish a spot to cove , i dont think they deserve to be in the playoffs

now that our  (neutralised ) game is over good luck on your next few games

    Fingers crossed.

Like I've said before are we ready to go up right now with this team probably not  in my opinion.

If we did of course I'd be delighted and all for it,summer transfer activity would take a right twist as we would have to bring in probably about 6-7 players who we think can play in the Championship and compete.Crowds would be up and better money coming into the club  would be superb and well needed.

We will see how it pans out still a few games to go to grab a top 4 spot, get a win tonight and a think we will be in a good position going into the last 3 games.

He has been playing on the right side of a back 3 - would fit right in with your defense (not that I want him to leave). He has just turned 28 so plenty of years left however he has had injuries so maybe that's why we got him - same with McHattie.

He would have played with our GK Cammy Gill and Ryan Williamson at the pars am just kinda guessing he is the sort of signing we will be after in the summer.

Players out of contract (I believe) are: Spark, McGrath, McDonald, Cruickshank, White & Heenan  plus those signed on short term deals : Handling, Cooney & Mackintosh.

Loan players: Richardson, Strachan & Wright will return to their parent clubs .

No club has enquired about Grady despite a number of rumours to the contrary.

Still have 13 players under contract for next season including: Martin, Patrick, McHattie, Macloud, Loudon & Scott .

I would expect that their could be offers for some of the above.

How has Lewis Martin been for you lot?

Good couple players id take a chance on if they came available end of season from you lot.

Murray Mackintosh was another good player I liked at Forfar when he was their a few years back,Not a clue how he has got on since coming back from OZ.

    Something not right.

Hospitality was a bit of a disappointment yesterday, the feel good factor from last year has gone.

Thought this new board was meant to be the start of something new,not looking likely now, heard quite a few players will be gone at the end of the season if and when we don’t get promoted also a lot of the players not happy since Price came in.The board made the appointment so should come out and admit they made the wrong appointment the man is a muppet his style of football has no identity his tactics are shite.

Some of the players aren’t really bothered about the club which stems from the top, last week up at the Broch a few laughing with one another after a shambles of a game.Crowds have dwindle this season instead of increasing because Price has made this team shite.

Cant see us getting back into the SPFL with Price in charge,if we fail he should be sacked.

    What players will be away?

I'd take a punt on the lad Seth Patrick anytime I've seen him he has looked decent.Grady McGrath being mentioned as well for the Mo and Forfar id heard.

Well that is the spine of the 3rd or 4th best team in L1 - it is a useful comparison for what a good L1 team actually looks like - if they are playing in a good L1 team then there’s no reason why we won’t have good L1 players or shouldn’t be looking to re sign the likes of Little or Dow

Arbroath are dropping down a league, it is a poorer league, the players we have who might have had a hard time of it in the Championship overall should be absolutely fine and good to go for L1

After mentioning Falkirk and Hamilton maybe would have been better to use Alloa the team in 3rd place a mean you probably know what way they play and the spine of their team?

Instead you used your ex goalkeeper who you have no time for,2 older Montrose players and Kane Hester who has previous at AFC and you clearly think Montrose will be a push over that's the way its came across.

It is pish compared to the Championship though - every week you’re up against a team the level of Falkirk or Hamilton or much better and they 2 have absolutely scooshed it ahead of everyone else.

Montrose got pumped 7-1 off a Falkirk team who’d probably only be pushing for the play offs in this division. Cameron Gill, 54 year old Sean Dillon, Paul Watson and Hester make up the spine of a Montrose team who are challenging as best of the rest behind Falkirk and Hamilton.

I am not saying for one second we will be world beaters or even a really good L1 team but we definitely have players at the club who should be good players for L1. Guys like McIntosh, Gold, Stewart and others would’ve also benefited big time from playing in the Championship for a sustained period of time.

Your in for a big shock in L1 buddy.

I don't think you have any real place to speak about any other teams in L1 when Arbroath have won about 10 games in the last 2 seasons and you haven't seen any of the teams play up close on a regular basis. But if you think places like Kelty,Alloa,Cove,QOS are going to be a scoosh your in for a shock.

Yes the championship is a better league than L1 but currently you don't know what sort of team your going to have and lets face it your wetting your knickers with Scott Stewart staying but its just papering over the cracks with JM in charge.

Along with the older heads in the team Montrose had Kerr Waddell and Terry Masson out for most of the season, both would be in the team under SP.Along with that we have given youth a chance and have about 5 young lads(17-19) in and around the team.Yeah we haven't been great this season but we are still their about for the play offs.

  10. Got a funny feeling it might be a high scoring game again, hopefully we aren't still shell shocked from Falkirk defeat.

Have to say I was pretty impressed with Alloa last time around especially Taylor Steven caused our full back all sorts of problems.

Would take a draw right now but have a funny feeling Alloa will beat us on Saturday....Hope to be proved wrong 😁

It's to be a balmy 16 degrees tomorrow although wet and windy.

Probably turn into a farcical hoofball contest then. I can remember a game at Links Park which we won. Some tactical genius in the Mo dugout (Hegarty maybe) decided that playing long balls against City was a good idea. We had Big Joe in defence at centre half and he headed every ball back.

Big Joe Mbu  he was a bit of a baller back in the day.

I would take any win right now, we were woeful last week(which you probably seen)and rightly so thumped by the league champions.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 3-4 changes to the team tomorrow SP wouldn't have been happy with that level of performance.

Another trophy for Stirling Uni. They do seem to have a wee habit of picking up silverware.

    Congratulations on another win.

    How did Ben Maciver-Redwood play?

Looking forward to seeing him play for Montrose next season.
