  1. Finally. Was wondering if we would beat them in my lifetime. We've played some poor Rangers teams over the years and not laid a glove on them. Yesterday was very unexpected but glorious.
  2. Rustico 7/10 Wild Ginger 8/10 Football 3/10 We've certainly performed worse at Pittodrie but it was all too predictable in the 2nd half. Passed it about pretty well in 1st without creating much. We got worse with every sub, Sims for White, Dhanda and Randall for Sheaf and Khela Not sure what to make of Efete in that position, looked classy one minute and a fish out of water the next.
  3. With the current midfield I would say we are even missing Tillson.
  4. I didn't catch much of Sportsound but I'm sure Derek Ferguson accused Baldwin of deliberately trying to injure a Saints player?
  5. Ah I'd forgotten about that Met players at Broxden quite a few times on way up the road during that 40something run.
  6. There have been various articles on it over the years, another one here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-28192617 Not sure if we'll ever get a pre-season trip to Argentina
  7. Bus for Aberdeen is struggling for numbers, get it booked by Tuesday.
  8. My abiding memory of JoB is the 2nd goal in the Boyce 4 Caley 0 game. Won the ball in a 50/50 out wide & pinged onto Boyce's napper.
  9. Allardice out for at least another month, Purrington another week, Paton December and Callachan January (MM in Sat P&J). With a few days left of transfer window I would love a solid CB, one who doesn't give away a pen or get a yellow/red every game.. And no surprise if Dhanda departs for an undisclosed fee.
  10. Dyron Daal was mentioned on the Airdrie match thread, which reminded me I have this pic
  11. According to MM in the P&J Dhanda has a huge purple bruise on his hip. On the complaints re away seating and toilets, hopefully the club pick up on this but I doubt they'll see it here.
  12. Staggies Bar has been dreadful since the current caterers took over a couple of seasons back, as have the tea bars.
  13. Maybe discussed earlier in the thread but - the Podcasts are fine but why don't Sportsound allow the live commentary, or the complete edition to be played back? You can with Radio5 coverage.
  14. Also, Debrah rhymes with Frempah, spooky. I really liked Ben and thought he would become a cult legend, however I'm struggling to recall anything other than a 4-0 hounding at Firhill, he either got sent off or broke his leg?
  15. My better half ended up going down to the shop today to sort it out, I was unable to do it on-line, the seats we've been in for 10yrs were not in my renewal folder or available to me. Quelle surprise. I still can't quite believe what happened on Sunday, incredible, that's why we love football etc etc. I had been resigned to relegation since the Tynecastle debacle, with a glimmer of hope after the win v D.Utd but quashed again v Killie and I saw no prospect of us beating Thistle over 2 legs. Had genuine sympathy for the Thistle fans who were having a great party in the sunshine. I kept telling others relegation would be good and a chance to reset on and off the field, new manager, new off-field staff where we are clearly struggling after key members departed, and maybe even a change of ownership because lets face it, that is coming. The current setup is unsustainable without up to £0.5M being written off every season, we are not alone in that respect in Scottish Football, but part of me wants a sustainable club even if that is being a yo-yo club down the divisions with a team full of cloggers. The Premiership was great at first but has become a bore, I've hardly been to an away game post-Covid, after hardly missing any for several years. I was so looking forward to the Arbroath pies. Can we have new caterers please, this has been a disaster, I don't even consider going into Staggies Bar any more. Anyway, lets see what happens regarding management and squad. Lots of rumours doing the rounds. See you next season.
  16. (P&J) Edwards is out along with Callaghan and Dhanda. We're hoping Dhanda will be back for the Aberdeen game next week. No timescale on Callaghan & Edwards. Watson also nursing an achilles issue.
  17. As enjoyable as the 1-5 at Tannadice a few seasons back, where again the Utd players had downed tools and got their manager the sack.
  18. Well done Accies, got the job done and good luck in the next round. County as expected, a shower of ballerinas who can't score. If our manager thinks today was "an anomaly" then he's deluded. More worringly, and as anticipated on the journey down, Accies catering (which we once dissed) is now better than ours. So many things wrong with the club at the moment.
  19. That 2nd half was embarrassing. Absolutely clueless, when are the summer signings that we had "been tracking for a long time" going to show up? Away fans made a good noise throughout.
  20. Just caught up with the podcast, Yogi was on Sportsound last Sunday. Confirmed that it wasn't his choice to depart, he wasn't offered the job and is desperate to get back into football. His feeling was that MM had been lined up all along but couldn't take the job earlier for whatever reason. No hard feelings, great bunch of boys etc etc.
  21. Is that fact? Hadn't registered. I recall his infamous post match interview (ironically with Rob MacLean, who also interviewed him on Sunday) where he was saying something like if he got the job permanently there would be a major clear-out. I watched that game again a couple of weeks ago, Broonie, Samaras, McCourt, McGeady, Robbie Keane
