  1. Not sure why we would need to switch to a back 4 just because Tierney is out, he is a massive loss as we all know but we were never going to get his attacking strength in this game anyway as it will most likely be backs against the wall for 90 mins. It would make more sense to just keep the same formation and team and simply have Cooper or McKenna slot in for Tierney.
  2. Is it not only England who are saying they won't take it, basically knowing they'll sail into the Euros anyway.
  3. Aye plus Spain will be desperate to win the group so they'll be treating Norway away as a must win, a draw will basically see Spain through but would put us in the driving seat to top the group with them knowing we are through and playing Georgia & Norway who are oot! Just fucking get the job done you Spanish babes.
  4. Thursday - If we manage to sneak a draw or Norway fail to beat Cyprus we are there! - A draw with Spain is good enough because it would mean the absolute worst case scenario is Scotland, Spain & Norway all finish on 16 points but due to a tiebreaker between all 3 teams, I'm sure that would be Scotland 7, Norway 6, Spain 4. Sunday - If business goes the way we would all predict on Thursday with wins for Spain and Norway it wouldn't change anything, Norway HAVE to beat Spain, anything other than 3 points then we will have 2nd spot at least secured. Spain should really be winning this on Sunday, they're flying now and lets face it, bar 2 outstanding players Norway are extremely average, them winning all their remaining games? I can't see it. The only tiny bit of fear I have is that they do somehow take 6 points this week, we take a heavy pumping of Spain then another defeat away to France and then are going to Georgia the following month on the back of 3 defeats desperate to win and avoid a final showdown with Norway, Georgia already out with zero pressure just cries out danger
  5. Can't see us beating Spain but also don't think it'll be a hammering, Norway will take care of Cyprus as expected but I fully expect Spain to take care of business for us on Sunday away to Norway. Spain look like they have got their act together, a defeat would be another shocker for them, can't see it happening again. I just don't think Norway are good enough to win all of their remaining games and Spain will be desperate to finish top, would be shocked if Spain don't win all their remaining games tbh. Very confident we are there but also shitting my skants
  6. Not making this, is there usually a stream for Dundee Unt games these days on thee olde firestick? I had a look on your site and it says there is no PPV for tomorrow
  7. I’m away to Düsseldorf in a few weeks, it’s Eurowings it’s with. I’d never heard of them before, randomly popped up when looking for flights! Cheap as chips!
  8. We ended up going with Frankfurt, it's pretty much right next to a good few host cities so seemed a decent base, easy train to most of them bar Hamburg and Berlin but even with them it's only 3 hours on the train, easily done. The flights and hotel cost were pretty decent, we were about £250ish in total, Fri - Mon 2nd round of fixtures.
  9. I heard it, he was clearly having a laugh, calm doon and never dig out the meatball ever again, thanks.
  10. Listened to that too, what a big black bin bag of rubbish Levein is. He always finds a way of slipping in a little joke about his horrific time as manager to which the presenter finds hilarious, every time
  11. MCT come out and say that money is available to Dougie who is waiting for the right players which are clearly guys on loan when the premiership teams settle down on their squads, shock horror. It's good to see that the local rag of a newspaper where firmly shown up once more for firing out misleading headlines and grabbing random comments made by the manager post Partick game and making it out like there is some sort of major financial disaster at Morton in terms of transfer budget, pleasing.
  12. Ahh is he not, fair play, aye you'd think Hendry then.
  13. Gunn Porteous Hanley Tierney Hickey Robertson Gilmour McTominay McGregor McGinn Adams I can't see Clarke dropping McTominay and Gilmour should be a cert the way he's playing, no chance McGregor is dropped either, that team fits everyone in comfortably with Hickey, Robertson and even Tierney bombing forward supporting. This should surely be a comfortable night at the office, no fucking aboot here, get them pumped lads.
  14. You are correct in that the drop menus are not working on the site, if you just google greenock morton contact the link from there takes you straight to the contact page, surely that would be anyone's 2nd plan of action? Anyway here's the link for ye Contact - Greenock Morton FC (gmfc.net)
  15. It was still a bit of a overreaction from some of our fans tho when clearly the squad wasn't any where near completed, of course we are in a better position now squad size than we were last season but we are still in proper need of one or two signings, a RB as we all know or another CB with O'Connor raking the RB slot and a forward. A good number of our support are completely freaking out that we will not be in a position to compete in this league without it at this moment in time after a bad day at the office last week. It's pretty clear to me that if Dougie is willing to let one or 2 go out on loan then we will most certainly be looking at at least 1 loan signing surely, there really isn't any need at all for Morton fans to be panicking right now.
  16. Some Morton fans really need to calm down here, the Morton msg board as per is painful reading. There was obv something there for Dougie to work on in bringing in at least one more player even before the Rangers game, what makes that change in any way? I think it's quite clear that we are not signing anyone on a perm contract but will no doubt bring in someone on loan when the right player is available, there is absolutely no panic at the moment, last week was a bad day at the office, it happens. We were more or less in this position last season around this time with people crying we were relegation bound then a few loan guys came in, relax!
  17. We are in the Ibis that's in the Ostend district, wee bit of a walk from central Frankfurt so don't know if that's a good or bad thing? Hopefully it'll be ok for the Euros. If Scotland are playing that weekend and it's not in Frankfurt then that's a full day in another city, would like to think all the host cities will have stuff on and full of folk no matter where you go. I've been to Munich, Berlin and I'm heading to Dusseldorf in Oct so fancied a change and Frankfurt seemed the best option in terms of train links. Munich was decent, had a good central location with loads of boozers n stuff. I thought Berlin was ok, wasn't overly loving it but was good to visit, it's just so big, you really need to plan out where your going in Berlin unlike Munich where your kinda hitting the same main bit for a swally.
  18. I'm there for 3 nights, sounds delightful.
  19. Frankfurt Ibis is going to be absolutely honking of Scotland. Glorious!
  20. If anyone is planning on going to Frankfurt just a heads up that flights are now available for the first 2 weekends of the tourney, return from Glasgow Fri-Mon for £200-250 with Lufthansa.
  21. Booked hotel with ease for the 2nd weekend of the tourney in Frankfurt, double room in the City Centre Ibis for £150 each. Flights should be available next week, atm it's showing flights up to the 1st weekend which still has seats available and are currently sitting at £200 return direct from Glasgow so should hopefully be sorted, decent total cost that. Just need to now hope it's not Hamburg as that's over 5 hours away on the train, the rest are all decent, 2/3 hour trains.
