James Cameron has also been much deeper than the titanic.  He was the first person to descend solo into the Mariana Trench.  He had a Rolex watch tied to the exterior of the submersible he was in.  The Rolex also survived the descent into the Mariana Trench unscathed.

When Donald Campbell's Bluebird blew up on Conniston Water, the only trace of him they found was his wrist, but hisTimex watch was still going at the right time.

I see the French fella on board has been down for a nosey at the Titanic 35 (!) times. Astonished that he agreed to go down in that thing.

    And James Cameron 33 times.

In 1997, pioneering filmmaker James Cameron brought on new and mainstream interest in the wreck with his romantic tragedy film Titanic, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Cameron shot actual footage of the wreck with then-cutting-edge technology, even venturing to the wreckage himself in a submarine, and has been at the site 33 times since

Similarly, I quoted verbatim four lines from a specific telephone conversation between the current queen and someone that I identified as "C the 1/3rd" in the hope of sparing his blushes.

Although I don't watch the program, I believe that the same conversation was recently portrayed on hit Netflix programme "The Crown". Obviously it must be too racy for staid old P'n'B 😃

I suggested that our noble King's award of The Order of the Thistle to his wife could increase support for Scottish Independence.

Sincere apologies for any offence this might have caused.

Let's face it salmond is the only person of any note on the Scottish politician scene with any intelligence and of a proper stature.

This woke globalist fraud snp party full of deviants have ruined the independence movement for a generation and should never be forgiven for this.

Well said. I’m very much pro-union but I had some respect for Salmond. He was credible as a politician and didn’t have ludicrous woke agendas. He was likeable.

The SNP has completely changed over the last 9-years and has a very dislikable contingent which has made Scotland the laughing stock of Europe.

Time to delete all our old tweets and/or posts on here and unite behind the guy again?

A bit like what Celtic fans are currently doing with Brendan Rodgers!

At Tesco earlier and the woman at the next checkout had her trolley loaded with Mr Kipling cakes.

"They're for my husband. He's terrible"

Shop Assistant "Are they not full of sugar. You need to be careful for diabetes"

    Woman "He's got diabetes"

    😳😳😳

I was in a check out queue at Lidls recently when the woman in front of me's phone rang.

She answered it, and in a snooty accent told the caller that she was in a queue at Sainsburys and would call back shortly.

Anyone who starts a post with 'I have to say' cannot ever be taken seriously.

    Sorry Dave.

He might actually have a point with his assertion that the majority of Scots are not obsessed with politics.

A quick glance around this forum could create an impression that a good number of Scots are more obsessed with the exploits of mediocre daytime TV presenters than with our political heroes and villains.

This is clearly not independence and in any case won't happen as Scotland doesn't meet the entry requirements, particularly economically due to consistently having one of the worst deficits in Europe.

Possibly yes, but mainly due to your corrupt mates in Westminster.

Anyone watch debate night from #perthshire?

As you’d expect Salmond utterly strolling it and for once a pretty decent audience!

He talked a lot of sense - certainly more than Jim Fairlie.

    Time to forgive and forget?

Are they allowed to have 2 pro-independence people on the panel?

Hopefully there will be 5 pro-independence people on the panel by the end of the programme.

    But somehow I doubt it....

Reminds me of that one where a blindman is standing at a street corner, with his guide dog, waiting to cross the road.

Suddenly for no good reason, the dog cocked its leg and peed all over his master's trouser leg. The blindman then began fishing in his pocket, looking for a biscuit to give to the dog.

A passer-by has observed this and says to the blindman  :  The dog's just pissed on your leg and now you're giving it a biscuit?

Says the blindman,  I'm just trying to find its mouth mate, then I'm going to kick it in the bollox!
