  1. Are there any regrets about getting rid of Campbell, or was it the right decision but maybe should have went for someone different than Mcintyre?
  2. Its nice to start to be able to look up the table instead of down constantly but in this league a 1 or 2 bad results and other games not going your way means you are back in the relegation playoff mixer again so we need to be careful we dont get sucked in. We might sneak 4th but theres allot of ifs and buts in there with airdrie with 2 games in hand. We really need them to drop points in quite a few games and we would need to beat them through there I reckon. We did it earlier in the season so it is possible. Plus all the other teams just behind us might put a run together and sneak 4th. Class league at times for how close it is. Everyone has something to play for with maybe the exception of Arbroath(sorry folks I think you are down) and partick are probably ok for a playoff spot now. Everyone else could be in either playoffs at the top or bottom still.
  3. I think they will drop points tbh and I think if rovers dont lose on saturday they can go and win all their games. I think 4 out the last 6 games remaining are at Starks are they not?
  4. It still irks me that we were told to rip up our artificial pitch when they changed the way the vote was to be conducted away from member clubs (where we looked like we would win) to the clubs on the spl board. We were also given an spl community award a few weeks before. Along with the whole club 11 vote we never seem to come out well in the circumstances where our rivals can vote on issues effecting us. Tbh though I prefer grass pitches and I probably would prefer all top flight clubs had them. But if they do decide to ban them I think there should be a grace period of 2/3 years before they have to be ripped up. If it was an excuse to stop rovers being promoted that wouldnt be right imo.
  5. On this same page someone was accusing pars fans of giving too much unwarranted backing to mcpake. And now they are stabbing him in the back and wanting him sacked
  6. Aye he can't really afford to be a bit part player at his age. He needs to make the shirt his own.
  7. Allans crosses into the area are pretty good and have been consistently. We are much better set piece wise and even from non dead ball. For example the cross at the end of the arbroath game where Kane hit the post(and should really have scored). We were talking about him at the game on friday and think he maybe lacks a nasty edge to his game. Personally I think he might be better futher up the park rather than a sitting central mid, but he probably doesnt have the same running ability as Todd to get beyond defenders. At one point he skinned two players and then was fouled at the edge of the box but the ref let play continue so we could have a shot, the ref then went over to tell him it was a foul but he played advantage. Overal he is growing on me.
  8. I think I read somewhere that Bamba had just came back from international duty that morning and hadnt slept. But was thrown straight in
  9. Think I might just go ahead and book portugal. Waiting on mates to confirm attendance is a hassle and the prices will go up pretty quick. Gambling its going to be Lisbon, hopefully should be ok
  10. I was careful when I said east side of the city rather than east end Its a street just off Brownside road. It will be a mixture of possible driving but some where I will want to have a few beers depending on if the game is a midweek evening or weekend so all options are good. Cycling while pished is out
  11. The house is smack bang in the middle of Kirkhill and Burnside. The queues at kings park ok after the game?
  12. Just in the hope anyone can help. I am moving to the east side of Glasgow soon(Cambuslang way) and was trying to work out the best way to get back after home games. Obviously I know Mount Florida and Kings park are pretty rammed post game but whats Croftfoot like? Is it easier to walk there and jump on the train going the opposite direction from the centre? Or is it best to try and grab a bus somewhere? I did look at walking back to Rutherglen and getting a train from there but google maps has it as 40 mins(and its usually pissing down at home games). Sorry, I am from fife so only have a basic knowledge of the public transport. Any advice is appreciated Cheers
  13. I'm not sure which posters your are meaning. Could be me tbf given I did post a few things some fans I had spoke to were concerned about. I suppose I still have questions to get clarity on but I have no idea how the meeting went. Tbh though if the meeting didnt go well after some of the shareholders were going into it with worries then we probably would have heard about it. Sounds like any concerns might have been addressed/clarfied which is good news. I think one concern is the club being skint and we have signed a few players since then on loan.
  14. I think everyone is on the same page tbh. No one is pannicking or blowing things out of proportion from what I have seen. Everyone has some questions and concerns including some shareholders who are hoping to get clarity next week when they meet one of the owners and chairman. Even Wacky doesn't think they are asset stripping which he has clarified several times. These things can spiral on forums etc when people are discussing it, but I don't see anyone at this stage going over the top
  15. I think they signaled their intention to at some stage but it hasnt happened
  16. It was confirmed a short time ago at a supporters meeting that the nesbitt money is gone. Now that could be to cover the shortfall of relegation and the deals Wacky mentions. But you are right it's a concern with no clarity
  17. Nothing really. A half built training base now. The stadium is owned by a group of fans who stuck cash in to get it from the bank around admin time and the bank wanted rid of it. I think the Germans have indicated they would hope to reunite the club with the stadium as a principle or long term goal but it doesn't seem like a big priority or interest to them. Its not really worth much for redevelopment purposes anyway if that was their masterplan The Germans have put in at least a 7 figure sum and probably more(maybe up to 2.5m but I'm not 100% on that, it was just mentioned to me once). Theres no way they would get that level of investment back and I think they know that. They arn't here to make money, thats obvious. What they might do I suppose is f**k up the running of it, or decide the project wasnt what they expected and decide to leave(and then it's what state they hand it over and to who will be the question).
  18. This. The cost base has went up and cash reserves sound like they might have dwindled so clarity on that and sustainablity of the club is a fair thing to ask. Ross Mcarthur has taken some flak by some but the one thing he did do was make sure our cost base was very low. It looks like its risen quite a bit. I suppose a mixture of the rumours of the huge loss around the town, the indicators such as the nesbitt money being gone and the admission the training ground is over budget and needing additional funding(which the germans may have funded themselves) leaves some questions to be asked to make sure we are ok. I would like to know if budget is being diverted from playing side into the training base rather than it just being the germans investment which was the initial idea. I'm not niave to think the club wouldn't need to put in some funding along with any grants etc but how much would that be and is it effecting our cash reserves to a large extent to the point its hand to mouth and any little blip has us fucked or dramtically effecting the playing side. I am also interested to know why they havn't converted their loan into shares yet(and there could be good reason for this) although I don't expect an answer will be given on that. Hopefully tough questions are asked and then we get comfort with the answers Apologies for the multiple edits
  19. Thats right actually that was a rumour going about. But I heard from someone at the club that was bollocks and tbh I didnt think it was true when I heard it either.
  20. Yeah you are right on Crawford. I think it was a surprise to the club when he handed in his resignation. I think there were some personal/family issues he was dealing with at the time as well. Which is fair enough. I don't think there was/is any baggage or bad feeling from either side.
  21. Apologies, had a few pints. I assume I will regret the whole post in the morning.
  22. Bread over rated. When I lived on my own I didnt own a toaster and people were baffled I never bought a loaf of bread. Sometines when I have a burger in a pub I dispense with the bun. Tastes of f**k all and has no nutritional value. Underated are pork chops(none of my mates like them), brocoli, haggis and carrots.
