I would think that they'd be similar, if not slightly more, than ours. Average home crowd could possibly be a bit higher than ours . Not too sure on that one though given we've had gates against the Pars and United which League 1 wouldn't get near.

Prize money from suffering in the 1st Div will also effect their budgets due to year on year debt.

Midfield to forward we are excellent, as Championship teams go. It’s the defence that needs sorted.

This team reminds me of the team we had the season before the 92-93 title-winning season. We’ve the makings of a title-winning team at the moment and we just need to build on that. If we could find this generations Davie Narey then we’re sorted.

Sorry midfield to forward we are not excellent. Too many similar players and we suffer a lack of directness with real pace.

Defence I'd ditch everyone of them Watson now looks past it, Murray is made of chocolate, Dick just punts the ball in hope and James Brown is not an upgrade.

Dabrowski is not good enough all round to win us promotion and if he doesn't give us confidence with his kicking and controlling his 6 yard box then how are our defenders expected to have confidence.

  3. That game was utter dug shite especially in the first half. A team that looked like they couldn't care about promotion, a team outplayed,  out passed and no pace.

Hamilton was shocking, Byrne only wanted to play the ball backwards, Watson no pace, Dick his usual punt up the wing, Stanton not at the races and Easton and Connolly who delivered nothing.

Automatic promotion has now ended and I dread to think what Airdrie will do to us if they make it and beat Partick.

Regardless of what league we are in next season we need a complete overhaul of the defence and I'm still not convinced by Dabrowski and genuine pace added to the attack.

Connolly is left footed and is played on the right.

If Mullin is more dangerous why are his stats worse than Connolly having played more games? I'd say Connolly is more dangerous and in fact contributed more than Mullin in an attacking sense. Stats don't lie. Defensively both have put in shifts. People see what they want to see, doesn't mean that it's correct. Facts are facts.

He's not played on the right it is his preferred position anywhere else means he's played put of position.

Connolly this season I believe has played 23 games 3 goals 5 assists

Last season, 33 games 10 goals an 5 assists.

I'd say those stats aren't that bad considering a 10 game deficit.

Josh Mullin 28 games 1 goal and 5 assists. Why are you not slagging him off? He's also started more games than Connolly and is naturally right footed

I agree, I don't think he's been as effective at times but to say you don't know what he's bringing is borderline stupid.

Sorry isn't Connolly a right winger. He played on the right when on loan to us and played on the right under McGlynn and Murray. He appears very lightweight this season getting pushed too easily off the ball.

I haven't said anything about Mullin as he offers a better more dangerous cross, corner.

The team needs to have grit and determination, able to stop Airdrie playing through us. Every game against them this season has been disgusting to watch from a Rovers perspective. This has to be gritty not flashy.

    I'd go

                         Dabrowski

    J. Brown  Watson    Murray       Dick

                             Byrne

    Mullen   Brown      Matthews  Connolly

                           Hamilton

A solid team to start the game with natural footed players on the wings.

Gives us Easton, Smith, Stanton, Vaughan and Rudden to bring on. I hope to never see Turner on the pitch again. He's been useless.

    It's a pity that Ashcroft isn't back as I'd like to have seen this;

                             Dabrowski

            Ashcroft.    Watson.   Murray

        Mullin      Byrne   Matthews    Dick

                  Brown                Stanton

                              Hamilton

Again having Vaughan, Smith Rudden, Easton and Connolly.

That's an extremely tough midfield and a midfield I feel could dominate and create chances.

Sorry I fail to see what Connolly is bringing to the team this season. Last season even when he played with an injury he got us goals but this season he's like a different player. No way Murray isn't starting Vaughan seeing as he rested him on Saturday, Stanton will also play. He needs to keep Matthews in the team, adds much needed dig.

Did we go bust? Cease trading?

Go on......do what you do. Find a wee gif/meme/cartoon if you want.

    Sliding into Monday.

Its just an observation. You guys don't like it when folk mention Raith and budgets in the same breath.

Did you pay your creditors 1p in the pound and take them for thousands.

  8. Relevant questions for me are what preparation in terms of new players has been done for next season. Has anyone signed on a precontract obviously no names can be mentioned.

And stadium development main stand refurb with club shop etc when is it likely to start and is there a timescale for development of the railway stand.

  9. Nearly 2000 fans not from where I was sitting. To be fair most Dunfermline fans are there to support their club and the minority ruin it for everyone. Regarding the vandalism of the stand it probably depends when it was done to who would have witnessed it. If if was done at half time there must have been several fans who witnessed the damage. If it was done at or near the end of the game it was only the NW fans section that were left in the stand. As long as Dunfermline FC come out and criticise the behaviour and pay for the damage then that's fine. Having said all that tonight's result with about a quarter of the season left means that the Pars can't catch us and with East Fife apparently under fan ownership and wanted Championship football in 3-5 years if I was a Pars fan i would be worried about becoming the 3rd best team in Fife.

I thought Easton was really poor tonight just kept on giving the ball away

Agreed he appeared to be running on mud done very little. For the 2nd game Matthews was good and the backline stood firm. Hamilton looks a player that tonight lacked any confidence. Should have done better with the chance in the 1st half and was gifted a chance in the 2nd.
