Your maths needs some improving. The cube root and square root of f*ck all are both exactly = f*ck all. (In general cube and square roots are smaller than the number they are roots of; but not in the case of f*ck all.)
-
With bigger lower divisions (those 2 or six teams extra) the SPFL sponsor money has to be spread more widely - that is to say more thinly. How likely is it the clubs will vote for that? And the threat of relegation hasn't gone away - 12.5 % or 11.1 %. At present it's a maximum of 10% what with the possibility of winning the play-off and avoiding it.
-
But that's exactly the calibre you'd be looking at in the LL.

How would it be less difficult? Only Brechin so far have managed to win their league after demotion. The LL teams haven't come close - for very good reasons. And for automatic promotion to it you're asking for two relegations from the SPFL. In other words one fifth of the lowest division. No SPFL club is going to vote for a 20% chance of relegation.
-
No team going down to the LL is going to be able to attract the calibre of player they had in SPFL's bottom tier. It's amazing Albion Rovers are even ninth.

We've only ever won there ridiculously few times.
-
At least it won't be Stranraer. That would be two guaranteed losses.

Technically that mark only means it was assayed in Edinburgh, not necessarily made there. Silversmiths sent/send their wares to the nearest assay office to be hallmarked.

You've just Faz'ed it.

I suspect bobbydazzler meant the EoS has the Rangers of both Berwick and Tweedmouth in its area. -

Fair enough. On this clip it does look like he handles it. -

From those highlights it looked to me not to be a penalty. The defender had his hand up but it doesn't look like the ball hit it. -

To whom? These days I have the fear about games like this. -
I was just thinking that if we reach the play-offs and play Spartans, wouldn't it just be totally a Dumbarton thing to happen if they were to beat us. (And a Faz thing, obviously.)
-
What are you on?
-
It was a really odd game. Spartans didn't lay a glove on us first half but managed to score twice. Unusually we made the most of our set pieces. Out of 8 goals only one was worked (our sixth.) The rest were all free-kicks, resulted from corners or (their second, our fifth) a defensive lapse. Well done to the lads though.
-
No, it wasn''t. They're still going - albeit under a different name and at a different location.
-
Really? I just thought the players stopped lumping it up to the small man and tried to pass it forward instead.

There are good historical reasons for those "parochial" laws. I for one don't want to go back to those good old days. You can drink in the bar at the Rock before the game if you want to, so where's the problem?
-
Next season we'll be lucky to finish 8th - or anything like it. (I'm assuming he won't have been emptied of course.)
