  1. Fair enough. On this clip it does look like he handles it.
  2. If there had been a league title potentially hanging on this game I'd have 100% thought we'd blow it. As it is we'll probably win and postpone Stenny's celebrations for a week. Then again recent games between us suggest a 1-0 away win.
  3. From those highlights it looked to me not to be a penalty. The defender had his hand up but it doesn't look like the ball hit it.
  4. I suspect Stranraer would have serious problems attracting players if they went down to the LL. It was bad enough for Cowdenbeath and Albion Rovers.
  5. To whom? These days I have the fear about games like this.
  6. I was just thinking that if we reach the play-offs and play Spartans, wouldn't it just be totally a Dumbarton thing to happen if they were to beat us. (And a Faz thing, obviously.)
  7. It was a really odd game. Spartans didn't lay a glove on us first half but managed to score twice. Unusually we made the most of our set pieces. Out of 8 goals only one was worked (our sixth.) The rest were all free-kicks, resulted from corners or (their second, our fifth) a defensive lapse. Well done to the lads though.
  8. No, it wasn''t. They're still going - albeit under a different name and at a different location.
  9. Really? I just thought the players stopped lumping it up to the small man and tried to pass it forward instead.
  10. There are good historical reasons for those "parochial" laws. I for one don't want to go back to those good old days. You can drink in the bar at the Rock before the game if you want to, so where's the problem?
  11. Next season we'll be lucky to finish 8th - or anything like it. (I'm assuming he won't have been emptied of course.)
  12. Looking at the highlights, for some reason I was getting flashbacks to Sam Ramsbum....
  13. How about at the next home game a continuing chorus of "sack the board, sack the board, sack the board" to the tune of Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever. Maybe "sack the owner" would be better but it doesn't fit the rhythm.
  14. Didn't see yesterday's result coming for you guys. Hopefully it was just a blip.
  15. About the only thing he was clever with, then.
  16. I don't know. St Cadoc's players may have blazed the ball over the bar or past the post.....
  17. On the present trajectory the best we could hope for is eighth.
  18. If it wasn't for the Coop most of rural Scotland would have nowhere to buy groceries.
  19. Yes, and the flag would certainly have gone up if the ball had hit the net.
  20. Is that own goals by Dumbarton players?
