It's a pre-season friendly ffs, so some punters need to calm down, lol. I expected next season to be full of ups and downs. I saw some positive signs in the Swifts game from the players. Is Harry Osbourne the player who was no 20 and played 2nd half last week vs Swifts? If so, I thought he did well but wasn't there today to comment on his performance. I agree we need more experienced players in the team, but we need ones who will set the best example and standards for the squad. Last season, imho too many "experienced" players let us down with their attitude and performances. MoRo & club will be working hard to get experienced players in the squad but it will not be easy as they will have a number of offers on the table. However, it comes down to money and we don't seem to have too much of it

I think we should raise one part of our pitch for the Lowland League season so it's on a slope. Then we could have big Dan Martins and McLemon launch long balls from the top end downpark to our set of 4 speedy, young and hungry wingers. Certainly worked for that slightly better pub team that gubbed us in the playoffs last season in the Lowland.

Don't worry he's past it. Barfwick Ringpieces are becoming a home for our rejected jobbers. They're shitting it cos they won't be able to cope with MoRo and his 18 action zones and our crèche.

Delighted that more of last season's jobbers are away. Liam Buchanan was a major disappointment last season. I'm sure he will be underwhelming at those English c***s.

I don't think CowdenLeith will be too upset JT is away to another Lowland League team. Todd is a solid defender but is very error prone. Good luck to him at Boness

Think it will take some time to sign more experienced players. They will have a number of offers or trials from perhaps SPFL clubs on the table so they may want to explore those first. When signing experience, we need the right character to help the young lads. We don't need a cynical jaded player causing a bad blood in the squad and who doesn't set good standards.

For the last few seasons our squad has been made up of Lowland League standard players. Over last few seasons most players that left us end up in the Lowland League. I can remember only about 5 that left us and went to another team in Spfl 1 & 2. Anyway best of luck to Harvey and thanks for your service to Cowden. Next season is a rebuild for us with a young team and we need to see how we fare. It's going to be interesting next season. Teams like Spartans, EK will be at the top end and we need to realise that some departing Cowden players will want to join these sides.

I can't see Carty staying. MoRo played him here and there and then dropped him. Carty hadn't played a competitive game since the previous November so was up against it. Some fans criticisms about him way over the top.
