@NELLY 1  mentioned that the referee report will say exactly why Davidson was sent off.

If the video evidence shows that the player did not commit the offence reported by the referee, then surely Cowden could submit the video evidence and it’s a slam dunk, red card rescinded.

Something tells me that simple logic like that won’t quite be the whole story when the suits get involved.

    Money down the drain.

Not a chance in hell we'll get anywhere near that for a crowd next game. A LOT of local Rangers fans there today. So fucking sad really.

Lovelace is an outstanding talent, he'll likely go far. The tackle on him was more suited to the rugby but it certainly didn't merit a red card - it'll be interesting to see if Davidson had a dig at the boy while on the ground, it would maybe go some way to explain the daft reaction from their boy that was sent off even though he swung at Alfie (who I thought was excellent today).

We didn't lay a glove on them in the 2nd half really, mainly down to them having technically superior and fitter players but there was plenty dig about us. With a settled squad going into next season and hopefully some more decent players, I'd be hopeful of having a far better season. I'd be quite happy for Mr Ross not to be in charge though.

The reaction of the Rangers player was par for the course, trying to influence the ref. No way was Davo going to stay on after that.

Sums up football today that the dark arts are the first thing kids are taught. We lost more than Rangers did from the sendings off. Decent effort today, just the same, we are definitely improving.

Aye, the Rangers no5 was a bombscare.

Was disappointed when he was sent off!

I think there’s more cause for optimism than at any time since we lost to Bonnyrigg.  The signings in recent months have brought a lot more stability, and the two new boys from last week look to be great additions.

Looking at the league table it will be difficult to get too far up the table as there is quite a gap, but I don’t think that’s as important as how we play until the end of the season.

I imagine we will keep things tight defensively going forward (no reason we should start leaking goals all of a sudden), it’s just getting the goals at vital times in close matches that will be the test.

I’m definitely optimistic, and it feels good to have some strong players signed up for next season.

Be good if the manager got just a wee bit of kudos for a change.

Yeah I was thinking about that earlier when I saw the 1st team weren’t playing until Sunday.  Be good to give it a bit of a push and get Rangers to put it on their various social media channels.

Just hope it’s the nice ones that visit, I think they must have some. 😉

They do but they have a lot of zoomers too.

Big Watt + speedy Sinclair being a good pairing was the first thing that crossed my mind when I heard big Dan had moved to Cowdenbeath.  The big man isn't a prolific goalscorer based on his BU performances but he is a handful to play against and his holdup play is solid.

Hopefully another Renton, I was so disappointed when he left. Sinclair spends so much of his time chasing lost causes, this could be exactly the type of player we need.

It's already looking good for next season and it's been a long time since we've had something to look forward to.

    We'll done Cowden.

It’s looking like another game off tomorrow. Heavy frost this morning and temperatures are not due to rise significantly until Sunday. Frustrating as I think we would get a decent turnout.

You couldn't make this up.Another 24hrs would have been enough.

  8. Enjoyed the game although it was nail-biting at times. Stirling couldn't cope with high balls for some reason and some of their passing was poor. Not the performance expected. We could have scored more second half.

Was worried when I heard Davo was missing but our defenders did well.

We finally started a game kicking towards the Chapel Street end and what a difference. It's a pity we hadn't done that earlier.

Whatever the manager had said to the players worked.

I have just seen it too. Gobsmacked is the word, the boy was out of his depth in the Lowland League with us.

He got sent off in his first match for us, signed on the Friday night, sent off on Saturday afternoon.

He had two games with us, Gretna at home and Tranent at home.

Shocking attitude at points, away at Caley Braves at night, he had gave up running after losing possession, I shouted come on Layton and he muttered something at me.

Maybe Robertson can get something out of him that Maurice did not, but I really doubt it.

He is an imposter. Peterhead can't afford to play someone that poor in their team.

Pretty solid signing for Dalbeattie anyway I wouldn’t take him here but for them its good, bryan gilfillan making use of his old contacts can see a few others going to them

Scored some decent goals for Cowden. If he is fit he'll do well in this league.

If not  I'm happy to Private message you a snapshot from the programme on Saturday If your not going to the game.

Cheers, I am planning to go but often as not there aren't any programs left.

    End of the season.

We need to get rid now so the new manager has can prepare for next season.

Yes, the performance against Tranent was encouraging but we've been here before with the win over East Kilbride. We need to consider his performance overall and it's not good enough.

At least we aren't waking up to another "hard luck " story.

Feel like you hear this every year about the Highland League sides, time will tell.

There's no team in the LL anything like Bonnyrigg were last season. Brechin really are very good.
