With the greatest of respect, Cowdenbeath in the 3rd round of the Scottish Cup on a freezing cold day isn't really going to get bums on seats.  500 season tickets holders stayed away going by the crowd, myself included, I went to the pub instead and definitely had a better time.

I think a lot of The Caley fans still have PTSD from the last 12 months of Doddsball, I certainly do.  I still think we're going to concede every time the other team has the ball in our half, even though Boyes and Ujdur have been solid so far at centre half, and I think the players are still mentally frail as f**k, hopefully Ferguson can bring them round.

When I saw the starting XI on Saturday, I knew it would be a slog and it would take our Championship forward line to bail us out.  A lot of those guys don't start for us in the league, some don't even get minutes in the league, and more or less the same side on Saturday drew with Highland League Nairn County only 6 weeks ago, so it's definitely a weak squad when you get past our Championship starters. January can't come quick enough.

You are correct, it wasn't an impressive display from Caley. We showed them too much respect. They did score one good goal though.

10/10 for the Cowden fans though, you would have thought they were the home team.

I thought the crowd was better than it was going to be. Not much of an attraction for Caley fans playing an LL side not on the season ticket same thing has happened to us in the South Challenge Cup with a few season ticket holders not going.

Caley fans well known for not backing their players. Even with several thousand there little or no noise. Weird.

I'm just playng catch-up on here and surprised it's not been mentioned. I don't know if it's the same programmes north of the border, but on Sunday's ITV4, Cowden's famous feature was on the best of Saint & Greavesie show.

It was this short feature that spiked my interest in the club as a youngster and planted the seed that made me think 'I'm going to go there one day'. I tried finding the footage in subsequent years but with no luck so delighted to see it for the first time in what must be more than 25 years.

It should be available to watch online via the ITV website for anyone who missed it... and if somebody to copy it and get it on youtube for future generations to enjoy, then that would be superb.

It's on YouTube "Saint&Greavsie Cowdenbeath 91/92". Hadn't seen it before, those were the days.

Yes. It was an enjoyable afternoons sport.

What a weird game. Not much in it for the first 20-25 mins. After we scored they fell apart. Some cracking goals.

Second half it was one way traffic. Looked like we would score every time we attacked.

What is Zac doing at RB? What a waste.

    Where is this coming from?

Scott Walker? That’s especially a wow 😮  Doesn’t seem to me like he is the main issue.

Jack not so much as he has been more of a back up.

Surprised at Walker too, one of our better players.

We need a 7ft centre half!

the team seem to be going backwards no idea how to defend cannot  score  poor all round in recent games needs sorting out getting painful to watch

Aye, backwards is correct. What's happened to all the good football we were producing at the start of the season?

To be fair, I've never heard fans moan as much as the five or six wallopers on the terracing... 🙂

Anyway, a draw was probably a fair result in the end - and a big thanks to the Cowden staff for their quick response after the leg break.

Good luck for the rest of the season. 👍

Never realised that the lad's leg is broken that's a real shame. Hope he recovers quickly.

First of all I hope the injured guy recovers quickly. We’ve had lots of draws where I thought we should have won. This is different. Linlithgow we’re organised and motivated. It was certainly a hard fought game. I’ve seen quite a number of games in the Lowland league, this season and last. I don’t think I’ve seen a team who constantly try to influence the officials as much as Linlithgow do. It’s on a ridiculous scale. Whinge, whinge and whinge. I take it that it’s part of the team talk. Our goal was a great finish. I’ll take a point and move on.

I thought the last game against them was a one off but they were just as bad today. Do they really think that referees are that easily influenced?

Haven't seen anything like that since we played Cove!

Never been to a match there, driven past it a few times when staying in Inverness, great location by the water, believe it’s a bone chiller in the winter.

Won't be any colder than Peterhead. A great place for a weekend but the club won't make much if anything.

Mind the gap for the equalizer.  Basic defense to cover both posts at set pieces. Coaching needed now to ensure Cowden stay tight at the back. Such howlers should never happen  again.

We've been saying that for a while now. Any set pieces are dangerous for us.

Really disappointing second half and giving away 2 goals despite a strong performance first half

What frustrates me more as I was crying out for someone to cover the back post at the corner and that's exactly where the ball ended up.

We have to improve defending corners.

We have to finish teams off.

    Not another corner!

I will probably be mocked for this, and maybe rightly so, but I am almost feeling more frustrated with the team this season than I was last season.

I suppose last season the expectations were pretty low, maybe that’s why I am feeling this way.

No you aren't the only one. From going to a game thinking we are going to win, it's "how many do we have to score to get through this?"

    So disappointing.

Tomorrow’s game must be in doubt. Horrendous weather at the moment and it’s to stay that way for 24 hours. Rain, rain and more rain.

Getting there almost impossible for anyone living in the North.
