The 9 points UK got in the televote came courtesy of 5 from Ukraine and 4 from Malta. Finland received eighteen sets of 12 points from the public and Sweden…didn’t get a single 12 points from any country in the public vote. But Sweden did get given at least some points by the public in every single country…apart from…Finland!

The build up and the dramatic music before the entrance to Sonia was hilarious, like she was Beyoncé.

I think that may have been on purpose…

Once a year there seems to be an act that does awful with the juries and then skyrockets to near the top with about 400 televoting points and that’s definitely Croatia this year.

Think it’s going to be destined for mid-table, but upcoming Slovenia is one of my favourites. A decent song and it just looks like a bunch of (not unattractive) guys having a great time.

Second place is phenomenal. Hope the BBC take the hint that trying actually gets results. No reason we can’t win in a ‘normal’ year. To give some context to how massive that Ukraine vote was…
