We could have a whip round tomorrow at some of the big games. Surely a bucket collection at County v Airdire will raise enough? -

I suspect it is the players who have said "stuff this we're not playing for nothing again" and Droopy McGruther has had to say he hasn't the cash to pay them. -

See if Livi do appeal and if the appeal is successful, will all posts in this thread after the League Management Committee meeting be considered as provisional and be wiped off? -

It's not about justice. It's about what is right for the game in general going forward. Is it right to allow a club to run up huge debts, including signing two players in the January window, sell up when they become insolvent and come straight back next season? -

The bottom line in all of this posturing from Massougall and Rankone is that they are in this to rip somebody off, somewhere along the line. Anybody can see that the Livi model is not sustainable as it stands and it would be bloody hard to get it to work even if the ground was available rent free for the foreseeable future. Massone was clearly living from hand to mouth last season to avoid dipping his hand in his own pocket and even paying the players out of the cash coming in could not be done on time. And before the Livi apologists come in and that commercial sponsors withdrew because they hated Massone, with respect that is pish. They withdrew because there is a recession, the atmosphere was crap with only 800 people next to them in the West Stand and because firts division football is pretty duff as far as entertainment goes. Massougall and Rankone will have Nixon's cash, the trust's cash and the supporters cash firmly trousered and be back over the dyke before tea time. Why? Well why else are they involved? -

The apathy of the Livi fans makes it even more amazing that the Chuckle brothers at the SFL seem so determined to impose them on us again this season. £10k is pretty pitiful, but it's around £200 per fan so on a per capita basis it's not too shabby. Edited to add: Only another £1.199million to go... -

Does this include de facto relegation such as a fifteen point penalty for this season? -

Very effective I'd say. In fact I'd suggest it was actual blackmail but McMaster and Longmuir were too stupid to recognise it. -

I'm sorry but there is no chance of that until the cheating stops. There is no sign of that happening anytime soon. Sorry, but perhaps FFS someone at Livi should realise that it's time to give it a rest. -

You sir are a total fuckwit. How many times do Livi want a headstart? You do not deserve the dignity of anything approaching a sensible answer. -

Just in after working since 8am to find this crock of shit. I won't be back at Almondvale and will be trying hard to convince my mates not to go either. -

Can't disagree with the sentiment, but the reality of Scottish Football is far away from a return to Corinthian values and the takings kept in a biscuit tin. I don't have to look too far to see aclub spending money it doesn't have, backed by wealthy individuals buying bits of real estate for buttons. -

Do you know, just thinking about this, the SFL could actually do something sensible here, if they really put the boot into Livi on the basis that few tears would be shed at their demise and it would give a good hard kick up the backside of any other chancers that are spending more money than they have. (Present company excepted of course) -

Can someone explain to me what it is that is worth £25k from the creditors? Not an insolvency expert so words of one syllable preferred. -

It's not looking good. Only 108 Livi fans at Palmerston yesterday, which hardly swelled the receipts to what the interim manager would have wanted. Allied with that, there is a complete misunderstanding amongst the Livi fans about what they should be doing now that McGruther has found out just how bad the finances are. Some people are giving money to the fighting fund (which has all of £3000) whilst others on Livi Lions are still saying that they wont give anything direct to the club just in case Massolini gets his hands on it. I don't know the legal posistion but I reckon McGruther will be having a hard look at the cash from Saturday against his wage bill on Monday and getting ready to administer the coup de grace. After all, neither him or his firm will make any money hanging around for another week for another hundred or so going to Cliftonhill.
