  1. With the right circumstances you could have had double that. From the outside looking in, this isn't the right circumstances. Not sure who's involved with Vaughans committee but it seems such a wild date.
  2. Wasn't a fan of open goal, it's very old firm centric. I listened to a few interviews and they seemed to revoke around "Some characters in that changing room eh!", don't think it was terribly insightful. I listened to a bit of a podcast that wasn't an interview and by christ it was shite. Slane and Kyle, f**k me. I never listened to the podcast version of AVFTT but tried watching the TV show, tried to make it a weekly thing when I lived in England but just gradually stopped watching it. Realised I was recording it just to watch the short films and clips? Which were outstanding, but the actual studio bits I just found a bit grating. Thought that McGuigan and Telfer were good, while Fowler and Sked just weren't. No harm to them though I hope it continues to do well. It also seemed to annoy someone from Open Goal, mightve been Kevin Kyle? So good for them. I'm sure the OP is some relation to Mochrie the Dundee Utd player, was all over our thread when we were trying to sign him last season. And while I do agree with him that wrestling is shite, it's still more entertaining than Mochrie.
  3. Falkirk had a game postponed this season, you then had there CEO/Chairman on twitter explaining that with there artificial pitch it wasn't recommended to sweep snow off the pitch? Because of the damage it would cause. There are advantages (I'd also argue some disadvantages) to a plastic pitch but years ago they seemed immune to call offs, not so much nowadays. Maybe in a effort to not ruin them so soon?
  4. Cheers matey, just after posting it on the Pollok thread I thought to do a reverse Google image search and it came up with that website thank you none the less, appreciated A mates relative was in a care home and one of the other residents had the photo but they didn't know where it came from, that photo has the names though, perfect.
  5. Hi there gents, my mate has an old football photo which shows a team in black and white stripes, I don't recognise the cups which makes me think it's a Juniors side, by any chance does anyone recognise it as a Pollock team?
  6. Honestly, I don't know. I don't think it's a senior club because I don't recognise the cups. But that's as far as I got.
  7. I wouldn't disagree with the majority of that post, he's had a poor season. I just can't think of anything he done on Friday, I think he came for a cross ball once, which was both unexpected and exciting.
  8. Your takeaway from the very good Dunfermline performance was Mehmet? I can't remember him doing much at all. I think he could've done better with the goal if anything.
  9. By any chance would anyone recognise the team in the above photo? Bonus points for the season.
  10. There were only two promotion spots that season? Ourselves and St Mirren went up.
  11. Middleton, Cudjoe and Fotheringham have all caused us issues this season, very nice of Goodwin to start none of them. Is Cudjoe shite against everyone else?
  12. We're two points behind Morton and they have two games in hand, as well as that we're away to them next week, anything short of a Dunfermline win makes us catching them extremely unlikely, and even if we do, they're still favourites to finish fourth. No idea about Partick, we're far, far, far more likely to finish 9th than worry about them.
  13. Aye? Fair play but he wouldn't be in mine, and even though nobody has asked... Mehmet Comrie-MFW-Bene-Edwards Hamilton-Otoo KRH - Todd - Jak Kane In game it could slide around, you could put KRH at rwb etc, and without Comrie we've got WH at right back/rcb which is fine. Agreed, I like Chalmers more than most but I was fair dismayed when I realised they'd be in midfield together. I think he could genuinely work with the right partner, but that isn't Allan.
  14. Aye it will be. He'll be at away in the summer, it might well be to Hearts but they'll need to stump up a fee. It won't be anymore than we rejected in January, it was just more about the timing.
  15. Did he apologise for that "Reeee" pish against Autistic people? Absolute belter.
  16. Aye, from the very good summary by Digs on the EEB forum (Not sure if he's posts on here but he does a very fine job of getting everything jotted down). As you say, when you can disprove some of the things Cook says, it becomes very difficult to trust him fully on other issues. "Last year we were relegated and even winning the league didn't give us much back - £120k for winning the league. The gap in the championship is huge though, mid-table finish in this league is treble that"
  17. Fair point. Also worth pointing out that 5th place in the Championship also gets charged VAT so it still wouldn't be three times as much. It's small things, but why say it?
  18. Depends if you can fully trust everything Cook says, there's a few points that I'm dubious about which can be disputed through other sources available (Spfl prize money and the xG stat). When you get to the stage of dispelling rumours you're trusting that he's being more honest about the Tommy Smith situation than say the first quoted poster is. There's some good stuff in there with things to be optimistic about, but I'm not quite at the stage with Cook where I reckon you can just take everything he says as gospel. As opposed to say Ross MacArthur, who for any faults he may have had at picking managers, you could trust everything he was saying was to the best of his knowledge, truthful and honest.
  19. I don't think anyone wants Inverness to die. But if they were to go into admin and that was to save us? I'd take that. Likewise if all 9 teams in the Championship hit the skids and we finished top by default? Ach that'd be fine. Best of luck to Inverness, great city, but I hope they finish in the bottom two one way or another, cheers.
  20. Correct. Well at least that's what I beleive, and it's what I was getting at in the original post.
  21. For me the biggest issue I have with this, is that we signed Kane halfway through February. It's not exactly news to Pars fans, but does that mean the first 6 months of our season were a write off because we didn't have a striker? I'm not disagreeing that he's a good player, but I think people are overstating how good, and how important he is. We've all been guilty (I certainly have) of thinking "When *insert player* gets back we'll be fine". It's happened with Bene, Todd, KRH etc and we still don't look any better going forward. It's a damming indictment on the state of our squad that we only have one striker, and he was signed in February ffs.
