Intrigued to know how this weekend’s stramash has affected the probabilities.

Dundee Utd now overwhelming favourites for the league. Dunfermline maybe now just streaking it for 4th and Inverness consigned to 9th?

I think Morton are still favourites for 4th, their superior goal difference could prove really pivotal. Airdrie then have a better chance than Dunfermline but from what your fans have been saying you have a few injuries? Queens Park aren't out of it but they could probably do with converting a few of there draws into wins. It's hard to get a grip on Ayr, whenever I pop into there thread everyone's moaning about the team, then they win.

I think 99% of Raith fans expected McGurn to be back in the team and playing that day.

Very much going off memory here, but I'm sure McGurn had been dropped for a few weeks (murmurings that with him being part time, McGlynn wanted the full time keeper?) there was no doubt who was the better keeper in my eyes, but likewise I wasn't surprised when he wasn't starting that day.

That won’t cut it for me. The stick we have taken has been way overboard and I won’t forget. I can’t gloat too much because ultimately we’ve only won the third tier; although I know that has really burned a lot in Scottish football tonight. What I’m looking for is a proper promotion push next season. If we do achieve promotion back to the top division I’m going to absolutely bombard certain teams fan pages.

I would also have gone this way but that's twice a Raith manager chose b.

Today wasn't quite as bad as McGurn not playing at East End in 2011.

McGurn had been dropped weeks before, I'm not sure on the alternative, but having Simmons as a wide midfielder was the more surprising of the decisions

I could only get a ticket for the main stand that day and it was like watching both goals in slow motion. McNeil shouldn't have been playing and Martin Hardie shouldn't have scored 2 goals from the halfway line.

First goal was a header from a corner tbf.

Because the shit housing we’ve done is a bit of winding up on social media.
I expect when Barrowman stated we need to be willing to take it back he meant winding us up on social media also (like Livi did after they knocked us out the cup).

Locking out fans who want to see the game while not releasing a transparent reason for it doesn’t feel like appropriate tit-for-tat for a video of a slide tackle.

Mcginn and Christie can and have played there previously but both are predominantly central players nowadays. Can be a struggle to adapt to moving position mid game.

This is a massive concern for me tbh, there's allot of players who have been regular stalwarts during Clarkes reign, but at club level their role has changed. However we're still trying to use them how we did a couple of years ago. It's daft.

Must admit, I quite like Dykes as an out ball against the bigger nations.

Tonight was never going to be his night. A target man that's not insanely mobile against 3 CH's is always a hiding to nothing and we barely changed it from that all night.

That's on Clarke regardless of the quality or lack thereof of our strikers.

Nah, his time is done for me tbh. He's a league one level striker who we utilised and got the best out of during a purple patch.

Let's not kick the arse out of it by continuing to watch him stink the place up, a player who looks that bad against McNair, Ballard and Toal shouldn't then be played against whatever combination Germany have.

    He's Josh Magennis.

People are paying good money for tickets and should boo whether it's a friendly or world cup final. Media people who don't pay their hard earned don't get a say in it

Agreed, people would have paid a decent amount of money for that tonight through transport and ticket prices. And it's been an utterly gutless performance as the Northern Ireland/Rangers fans have ripped the pish.

Dykes actually turning his back and running away from the ball sums up Scotland's 1st half.

Clarke has his work cut out here to salvage something positive out of this, as well, let's face it, he's made an arse of the 1st 45mins.

Said it on another thread and I stand by it, there's a conversation to be had about Dykes. We've been awful going forward and he's played a major part in that.

If Nathan Patterson had been the only thing wrong with that first half, we wouldn't be in too bad a position.

    Agreed.

The defending has been poor even outwith Patterson, the balls moved far too slowly and the off the ball movement has been dreadful. Front to back it's been awful.

Shocking HobNob it was only just over a week since I was cheering the Pars on

I'll be cheering you on when you play Airdrie 🤝

Fwiw Championship/league one titles don't particularly bother me, it's something that I've seen Dunfermline win, that we'll probably win again at some point, likewise it's only a matter of time for Falkirk to win the championship again. I also supported Raith against Rangers in the challenge Cup final so I'm not totally full of bitterness.

    Go on - explain.

I know my club doesn't have an immediate rival in the same way, but I still can't imagine despising anyone as I do the OF.  I even include the Gretna of early this century in that.

    I hate the old firm.

I hate seing our rivals (Falkirk and to a much lesser extent, Raith) do well. I can respect Falkirk fans, if they'd been born twenty miles east they might have been Pars fans, they are just guys following a fellow middling Scottish football club because it's where they're from or it's who they're Dad supported, I'll have far more in common with a Falkirk fan than an Old Firm fan, however...

Agreed, Dunfermline are our big rivals but I do have a respect for the club and the fans and love our games against them. Whereas I despise everything about the OF and take great pleasure in their failures.

When Dunfermline played Celtic in the three national Cup finals between 04-07 who did you support? Maybe I'm just petty, but despite me despising everything about Rangers I was still happier when they beat you in one.

The drama I've got is that if Falkirk, or Raith for example win a national title they'd quite rightly use it as a "Get it up ye" point against Dunfermline, you beat them in a derby game the retort can be "Aye, but I've seen my team win the Scottish cup" that's game set and match eh?

Whereas if the old firm beat Falkirk in a final it's just another day for them.

Again, it might just be me being petty, but it's how I see it.

Edit - I've just seen I've used the word hate a few times there, that's more than just a bit excessive.
