Cheers guys, much appreciated. Are decathlon any good for mountain bikes? Have heard that their road bikes are pretty decent

I already have a hybrid for road cycling, so looking for something as cheap as possible, probably second hand, but advice about which bikes are best to look out for and what I should be looking for. Not looking for anything serious, and no way I could justify to the wife spending anywhere near £1000!! Just general advice on a mountain bike for doing a bit of riding in the Pentlands and maybe further afield. Which makes are better than others and what they should be equipped with.

Looking for some advice. Looking to pick up a 2nd hand mountain bike for stoating around in the Pentlands/off-road in nearby countryside but not having done a lot of mountain biking I'm not sure what I should be looking for.

Arseholes who park at the side of the entrance road into the Tesco Metro car park at East Calder. Just so you can park literally 20 metres closer to the entrance of the shop you make it much more difficult and dangerous to get out onto the main road and much more difficult running the gauntlet of parked cars on the entrance road praying that no cars turn into the road coming the other way. Totally agree that we need to improve the depth and, more importantly, the quality of the squad and soon. It would only take a few injuries for us to be struggling big time and we need more of a threat going forward. I think we'll be okay at the back but definitely need more going forward.

That's what I was saying, I don't think he'll bang in 20 goals this year in League 1 but if he keeps developing then there might be a chance. He needs someone with experience up front with him to show him the ropes though

He came from the juniors in January and scored a few, maybe 5 or 6, looks strong with decent control. I know it's a step up to League 1 but he looks like he might be able to make it
