Easy to say just now, but what if Livi just swapped places with Spartans? They just missed out when Annan got in of course and this has the result of the SFL and EoSL having the same number teams and not making a balls up of the whole thing. (If they did, I can see Cove Rangers etc being cheesed off though) As an aside, will the SFL compensate the nine third division teams who'll lose out on two home gate receipts this coming season?

I went around Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Strathclyde on their Engineering open days and never had my parents there. I just got the Citylink to these places and back but if it was somewhere like England where it's the parents forking out a few thousand pounds each year then I could understand the will for them to come along. In Scotland however, if you're big and bad enough to go to uni by yourself for three to four years then you should be able to get there and have a look around by yourself without someone in your ear or you feeling pressured to ask the 'right' questions just because your parents are there. If anything, I'd probably be more likely just to shut up and ask less if mine were there. I thought the same thing when I saw all the parents walking about. Looking back on it, I think my mum rathered I went to Strathclyde rather than Aberdeen (my eventual choice) so that one decision to go by myself could have changed my life path

Absolutely. The mountains of Assynt are the classic example where the only Munroe (Ben More Assynt) is the most boring of the lot IMO. Up the monster that is Bennachie at the weekend... bring it on

We did that in the winter in our trainers! Went to Crieff and up to the loch and just started walking (Forrest Gump style I suppose!). Cracking walk around the loch and some massive hares and plenty of deer there from what I remember. Piece of piss

Caravan / campervan drivers who won't let you overtake on single track roads for miles despite passing places being present up to every 200m ... and tourists that park on the blind corners to get out and take some photos of sheep on the roadside.
