  1. Been a while since I have been on this thread, looking very quiet. Wee treble today for old times sake 12.15 - Thurles - BACHASSON 12.55 - Market Rasen - BANDSMAN 3.30 - Market Rasen - JAUNTY INFLIGHT
  2. I had a Anytime goalscorer double on RVP in the Man U game and Raul Garcia for Athletico Madrid yesterday. RVP done the business but Garcia was on the bench. He cam on in the 67th minute and never scored. Sky bet never voided Garcia as he still got 20 odd minutes on the pitch, as it should be Who did you do your bet with as it was decent that they voided Rooney!
  3. Not a bad day for it @ Musselburgh. Usually I study the form book for hours before going to the meeting, which is part of the fun, but trying a different approach today and just going with gut instinct from racing post and what I like the look of on course. Any tips/thoughts welcome as always though!
  4. Musselburgh is free entry this Sunday, might head along, providing it beats this freezing weather!
  5. Couple of winners over the last few days, after an extended run of one team pumping me each week. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
  6. McBookie credited me with a free £5 bet. Stuck it on WHITE DEER in the 6.45 at Wolverhampton. Came close LTO finishing 3rd while staying on over C&D coming behind Merchant who also runs in this race. Feel WHITE DEER is well wighted and sits well in the HANDICAP. 9/1 is a decent price for a free bet
  7. Hi Guys, Little bored today so having a bash at the horses again after having a wee read up on Musselburgh. Selections: 2.00 - MUSSELBURGH Opting for E/W shot on SOMEONES DARLING which is going under the GOLDIE and LEE combo. Came close LTO which was over todays course and distance off a mark of 62, finishing just 2 lengths off the winner while staying on in the process. Drops to a mark of 60 today and has the chance to go one better @ a nice price of 16/1 3.00 - MUSSELBURGH RIO COBOLO is running off it's lowest mark since JUNE 2009 and is bottom weight in the Handicap. Has been getting closer on it's latest efforts and of the 2 NICHOLLS runners son ADRIAN takes the mount on this one of the 2. Tempting price of 6/1 is too good to turn down on a horse that definatley has the ability off a good mark. 3.35 - MUSSELBURGH NO POPPY has worked it's way nback to a winnable mark of 81 and showed this when coming close last time out over 7 furlongs when it was awarded 2nd place at AYR. Steps up in trip by one furlong today which should suit as it was heavy ground last time at AYR and this one managed to still keep staying on to take 2nd suggesting this wont be a problem on the softish ground. EASTERBY can get a winner here again at a nice price of 5/1. 4.10 - MUSSELBURGH Going for 2 E/W shots on this race. First one being the top weight NORTHERN FLING, Goldies horse is dropped to a mark of 70 today and the last time it went off on that mark it won which coincidently was over the same course at a slightly shorter 8 furlongs. It won at 20/1 on that occasion, which was also the last time it ran over this course and you can get 16's for it to do a repeat performance today. Drops from class 3 to class 5 which will make things easier. Second E/W shot is EDAS, won its penultimate race over todays distance at CARLISLE over similair going, was tried again at CARLISLE but think the heavy going scuppered its chances. Should have a chance today as under foot conditions are a little better and has proven its ability over 9 furlongs. 4.45 - MUSSELBURGH No form studying for this one, simply a good old time bet on a horse that has seen me very well at MUSEELBURGH AND HAMILTON. Horse is called CHOOKIE HAMILTON Good luck guys, hopefully get a few nice priced winners!
  8. Sauchie - Good highlights, but no need to put everything into slow mo. Fair enough for penalty decisions, but it's a lot better to see goals in full flow, perhaps followed up with slow mo replay. Good work though.
  9. Bad day yesterday but will have another shot today. £15 Lucky 15 on the following: 2.10 – REDCAR - TIGER SUNSET – 1st and a 2nd so far in 2 outings this month, similar conditions today means it has a good chance @ 11/4 3.20 – RECAR – FREE ART – Always there or there abouts, hopefully go one better today @ 13/2 3.30 – M RASEN – IVE BEEN FRAMED – Drops back in class after stepping things up a level, drop in class should suit @ 4/1 3.45 – ASCOT – STARSCOPE – Gosdens 3 year old started well but was beaten favourite LTO. Has a chance @ 8/1
  10. Also: Think that PARTY LINE is well overpriced at 6/1 in the 3:20 @ RIPON. Made the E/W money in it's last 4 starts, one of which was a winner and another only lost out by a head. JOHNSON and NICHOLLS not a bad combo and is only a small field of 5 runners. Single on PARTY LINE @ 6/1
  11. Long time no chat guys, hope you have managed a few winners so far this year! First touch on the horse for quite a while, here is hoping the break has done me good! SINGLES, DOUBLES & A TREBLE ON: 2:30 - ASCOT - AHERN - 4/1 2:45 - RIPON - ZOMERLUST - 13/2 3:05 - ASCOT - HAZEL LAVERY - 33/1
  12. If you want a trixie you can also throw in: 5:00 - SILVANUS
  13. If you beleive in Horses for Courses, then get your money on these 2 today at Musselburgh: 3:00 - NADEEN & 3:30 - CHOOKIE HAMILTON 2 x SINGLES & 1 x DOUBLE
  14. What race does that one run in? Going to go for the dearer tickets, so hopefully that helps avoid them!
  15. Off to AYR tomorrow, will have a look through the card tonight see if anything catches my eye. Anyone got any fancies for AYR tomorrow?
  16. HIGHLAND WARRIOR 3rd @ 25/1 & CAPTAIN DIMITRIOS won (dead heat) @ 4's Happy enough with that!
  17. Ah well, not a very good day betting wise, but still had a great day! EACH WAY today on HIGHLAND WARRIOR at 22/1, who is back on a course he runs well on. Also keeping an eye on CAPTAIN DIMITRIOS who runs for a second day running at MUSSELBURGH after finishing 2nd yesterday. Not penalised for the effort YET and will appreciate both the drop in distance and class. HANAGAN also takes the ride which is another positive! Get yourself along fish, lol!
  18. Nice one, might have a wee trip on Sunday to if I have a good day tomorrow! Depends how bad the hangover is too as it's a stag doo im on, ha ha! Nice blog you have there Clyde. Just feel that HAMISH may stuggle to overcome it's penalty. My thoughts below: MUSSELBURGH 2.10 Hard to judge Maidens so early on in the season and tend to stick to proven Trainers / Jockeys. JUST PAST ANDOVER will be the freshest in the field after allready having a run, however going to opt with Ryan & Makin onboard JORDANSTOWN. Ryan has been bangin out the winners the last few days so hopefully the trend continues tomorrow. Selection - JORDANSTOWN 2.45 HAMISH MCGONAGAL is the form horse and the one to beat however runs off a rating of 114 which would be the highest it has won off. Im going to opt for the experienced 10 year old in the field BORDERLESCOTT who is back down to a winable mark. Only had one visit to MUSSELBURGH back in 2008, which he won over the exact same conditions as this race. Same CLASS, DISTANCE, RATING & FIELD SIZE. Has a handy low draw and goes at a decent price. Selection -BORDERLESCOTT - (NB) 3.20 FAHEY will have a strong say in who wins this one as he trains 4 of the 12 runners. PRIME EXHIBIT looks to be his best of them and he has said that they have been aiming for this race. Only lost out by a length and half LTO and has won off higher marks previously. LAYLAS DANCER is probably the best of the rest to look out for and was very unlucky LTO when having to be switched close home, well Handicapped and has a good shout. Selection - LAYLAS DANCER 3.50 Despite a dissapointing run LTO CRAVAT looks like a good sort. Won 2 of his last 3 races and the drop in class from 1 to 2 will obviously suit. BRONZE ANGEL will be one of the dangers after winning it's last 2 outings while staying on well in the process. KICKINGTHELILLY looks good E/W value after racking up a 3 timer in lower class company before falling short in class 1 event LTO. Selection - CRAVAT 4.25 Looking no further than PROHIBITION for this one. 2 from 2 this year and has went in off higher ratings previously. CABAL has been going well but will have to much to do under it's 3rd succesive penalty. SELDOM also has a squeak. Selection - PROHIBITION 5.00 Another Maiden in which TORERO comes into it off a decent debut run. Will come on for the run and may prove the only slight danger to what looks like a nailed on winner in KEYGOLD, who has been knocking at the door recently and only just failed to break its maiden tag going down by half a length LTO in a better race. Selection - KEY GOLD 5.35 2 horses to keep an eye on at the bottom end of the Handicap include NACHO LIBRE and MONSIEUR PONTAVEN who have been going well on the all weather lately. Will be interesting to see how they perform going back to grass. However waiting till the last race for my NAP which comes in the shape of GREENHEAD HIGH - Combo of the NICHOLS is promising here who go well at Musselburgh and gets in off a great handicap rating of 62. Placed in 5 of his 6 outings this yearand knows where the winning post is. Willing to over look it's last outing due to reasons mentioned. Selection - GREENHEAD HIGH - NAP These are just my thoughts and are not tips. Hopefully get a couple of winners. Good luck to anyone having a stab at the GG's tomorrow.
  19. Im off to Musselburgh tomorrow for the first Flat meeting of the season. Looking forward too it. Going to have a snoop at the form and will post up my thoughts later on. Anyone else going?
  20. HAYDOCK - 2.10 - DANCING ART - 3/1 HAYDOCK - 2.40 - STAR IN FLIGHT - 3/1 2 x £5 SINGLES 1 x £5 DOUBLE Not been racing in a while, however will be going to MUSSELBURGH for easter weekend racing and then AYR for the Scottish national meeting. Looking forward to them both.
  21. Day off today so going to give the horses a bash again. Been off them for a while as I wasn't really winning much. 3.45 - HEREFORD - RICARDOS CHANCE - E/W - 25/1 First run in a couple of years for Twiston-Davies horse, however has done plenty winning at this class. 25/1 is too big a price to ignore for E/W value. 3.15 - HEREFORD - QASPAL - 11/8 Racked up a treble this time a couple years back, after which finished mid division @ Cheltenham last year. Only one run since then, but drops down in class and can win again at this level. 3.00 - LINGFIELD - THORPE BAY - 2/1 Won over C&D LTO and has the ability to repeat that effort today with Hayley Turner on board. SINGLES, DOUBLES & TREBLE
  22. Lucky 15: 2.30 - BRIGHTON - Prince Of Thebes - 18/1 2.55 - CARLISLE - Brousse En Feux - 11/2 3.35 - BRIGHTON - Aviso - 6/1 3.50 - THURLES - Solaris Exhibition - 2/1 (My mate is on a free trial with a tipping service who have tipped this one up for today, he has had 3 winner & 2 losers from this service so far)
  23. You never thought about perming your bets mate?? Always seem to lose out by the odd goal/game.......
  24. Ah well, hope you all missed it!
  25. One of my mates, who plays in the scottish lower leagues received a tip from a team mate, whos dad owns a few horses. Doesn't give out tips often apparently, but has advised to go with MIDSUMMER SUN in the 3:15 @ Nottingham today. Not saying lump on, but maybe one worth a try.
