  1. Says the man who thinks he has an unequaled sense of humour.
  2. Irregardless of whether or not Hendry is irreplaceable I don't think we'll finish unbelow the play offs.
  3. I suspect this is more about nostalgia for Hampden than expecting to see Scotland in a quarter final..
  4. Some of us have an are enthusiasm for the game.
  5. It does. Are your neighbours too close for comfort for you?
  6. We're playing Stranraer and yourselves at Stark's with spectators, and a closed door game with Clyde on the Tuesday night in between. I'm expecting a Cove Rangers type challenge in League 1 from QP this season. There doesn't seem to be any weak teams in it this season, it should be an exciting close league. PS I think Ellis and Murray will be a good management team. We were glad to see the back of Murray (same basic mistakes every week) but with Laurie in charge things should go well.
  7. Seeing a Kelty Hearts v Cowdenbeath fixture in the SPFL is surreal. It's an exciting boost to Fife football.
  8. Despite the loss of Hendry, and to a lesser extent Armstrong and loanees Gullan and Kennedy I think we'll still have a strong exciting team. The defence will be much stronger and the forwards should have goals in them - Keatings will be better than Ugwu and Duku and no doubt McGlynn will being in back ups. Of course the midfield will be much less fluent but I think McGlynn will get the best out of Connolly, as well as Zanatta. Roll on the season.
  9. Word is that he wants to go to England, but apart from a mention of Ipswich no news.
  10. Matthews in Hendry's role? Unlikely; if the numbers are like for like from last season it would seem McGlynn is changing the shape and style.
  11. King is not what we need. We need someone who can interchange and move the ball, he can hardly move himself.
  12. I think folk are mentioning King out of fear, not because there's any evidence, other than that he's a free agent and we had him on loan.
  13. Too bad Hendry's gone, but I expect McGlynn has contingency plans for the midfield. I can't see King being in these plans...
  14. When he first came we were raving about him, fast and direct, scoring nearly every game. Tranmere fans said that's how he starts every time he signs for a new team, only to flop later. PS - I should have added, they were spot on.
  15. Dunfermline should be a more successful club than St Johnstone; Saints have been punching above their weight for some time while Dunfermline have been in the doldrums.
  16. Nah, I don't see that happening. I think he'll stick to what's been a success, We played that style even when Hendry was out injured, and strengthening the defence doesn't have to restrict our forward play.
  17. I think McGlynn has a knack of getting players whose abilities he knows, who have underperformed elsewhere and thinks he can get back to their true form. That's what I see in the Zanatta and Connolly signings.
  18. They've had no one of Vaughan's quality since they stole Nisbet.
  19. 'Tho not as finished at the top level as Steven Whittaker...
  20. He might be an angry kunt and have a whining voice but it seems he was a good judge of character.
  21. There's no news regarding this apppointment. Now that you've thrown your lot in with Grant it might be a case of what might have been and what you're now stuck with.
  22. I think a proper pyramid system should have an automatic relegation, just as the English have. Our play-offs are different for every division - they should be consistent.
