  1. Zanatta v Millen will be an interesting contest. I liked Zanatta; he really tried too hard, you could see the frustration on his face when things weren't coming off for him.
  2. That's harsh tbh. He's had two good games. Yesterday and against Ayr. If he can start producing it a bit more often then I'll be happy. He's showing in flashes he has the ability. I saw that his general play was good yesterday, no doubt about it. I was referring particularly to his shooting prowess.
  3. Connoll Connell played well but as a striker he has a lot of convincing to do. Notice his penalty was blasted down the middle, exactly what he's done with nearly every chance he's had. It's a good job the goalie dived out the way.
  4. This is classic Rovers flop scenario - going well and looking odds on to beat the bottom team....
  5. The signing of Millen was rubbished, with fans of oher clubs joining in the chorus. Murray knows what he's doing and has called everyone of the keyboard experts out.
  6. I thought Connell would have let Connolly take the penalty for his hat trick. Aso, I was suprised we got that penalty - the defender had got off with exactly the same thing earlier. However, it was nothing like as soft as the one Morton got against us last week.
  7. I've watched many Rovers Thistle matches and every one has been a clean sporting game, unlike some teams I can mention.
  8. Just over 2100 with - I think - just under 400 Thistle fans.
  9. To think when Berra left we had next to no defence. Now along with Morton we've conceded two less goals than the next team. We had a piss poor League Cup and lost our first two league games, then O'Riordan and Nolan came in and we won our next two; now things are getting better and better.
  10. We wanted to ensure you didn't do an Accies on us
  11. My take on the game: Thistle started well and dominated the first ten minutes; we scored with our first shot, a corker from Connolly. After that we played some good stuffwith Thistle fading. Connell's long throws are as good as corners and Connolly slammed in one from around six yards. Akinola then gave a way a penalty, having got away with a similar foul at Connolly's first goal. Second half we sat back and Thistle dominated the whole half. I wouldn't have grudged them a goal. Standing ovation at Vaughan's return. A win against Accies next week would make us serious top four candidates.
  12. A win is somewhat diminished playing against weakened teams. ICT are the latest to publicise their injury list. However given that over the last three or four seasons we've hardly ever had a full squad to pick from, and with constant long term injuries to key players my sympathy is also somewhat diminished.
  13. It depends on who we're playing and the circumstances. I think we're capable of winning and hope we do, but a draw will keep us within touching distance with so many home games upcoming.
  14. Despite recent results Partick have been the strongest side in the league. How we do against them today will be the strongest indication yet of how we're progressing. I can't call this - a draw wouldn't be a disappointment.
  15. These hoors are lucky enough to get awarded the points and have +6 added to their goal difference
