  1. He's a typical roaster, hardly unique among our fans on P&B sadly. Give him 3 years & he might start having a clue.
  2. Yeah, Gardyne was a fantastic player for us the 09/10 season, but last year was really disappointing. If we get some money for him then great, I'm certainly not going to be losing sleep over it. And as bunglebonce says it could see Vigurs given a more important role. He's certainly been a decent player for us on the whole but we needed more from him last year & he didn't deliver.
  3. No, Derek Holmes was our record transfer. Think we gave Hearts £50k for him
  4. Nothing gets past you eh? Delighted with the Munro signing though. Duncan would be nice but also not exactly a priority position, would much rather we grab a keeper from somewhere.
  5. I mind when heavy metal practially defined my life. I still love metal & all but it really does seem like a genre of music stuck in a horrid rut right now. Almost everything is deriviative, which is disheartening to say the least. Still like a fair bit of black metal, one of the few sub-genre in metal where actual innovation is going on, thanks to bands like Deathspell Omega, Cobalt & Wolves In The Throne Room. First gig I was at in months was at Ivory Blacks a couple weeks ago, Watain & Shining. Watain were a bit boring, the venue smelt horribly of a mix of disinfectant & sheeps blood to the point that the bar staff went on revolt, but Shining were fantastic, best band I've seen since the Manic Street Preachers at the Cathouse last year.

  7. Loving tonights NFL game. Oh Green Bay.

  8. I need to hear far more of Jello's post-DK work. I do love the two records he made with The Melvins though.
  9. Acrimony - Hymns to the Stone Sadly under-rated Welsh doom with vague psychelic hints from the late '90s. Some cracking riffs on their second record, Tumuli Shroomaroom
  10. Neutral Milk Hotel - Communist Daughter
  11. Opeth - Face of Melinda One of my favourite tracks ever recorded. It's just stunning. But then Still Life rates as my #1 album of album so that's easy to see why.
  12. Ulver - Nowhere/Catastrophe Perdition City has to be one of my top...well, top 20 albums at least of the last decade. Not sure if it'd make it into my top 10. Lots of choice on that front.
  13. Alcest - Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde
  14. Eyehategod - My Name Is God (I Hate You)
  15. Aye, good spot, not many folk get that reference!
  16. Next gig on the schedule is Napalm Death at Ivory Blacks on the 10th of this month. Was going to go see Henry Rollins spoken word show at the Academy but I've just realised for the same price I can go see both Rolo Tomassi and Baroness later this month so will probably go for that instead.
  17. Joy Division's album 'Closer' has just gone on, so currently playing is Joy Division - Atrocity Exhibition Wonderful song.
  18. Well aye, it is an awfully big if. Assume the trust don't have enough money on there own then?
  19. And still no comment from you as to how this division was an example of "self-preservation" by the SFLMC. If First Division clubs were interested in self-preservation then your lot would be stuck with a -30 points deduction in Division One, keeping everyone else safe of relegation. Anyway, Livi fans should try to look at this as a positive. It's a chance to unload all your overpaid chancers and build a club that is sustainable, and actually find your level the proper way, as opposed to relying on moneymen from outwith the club like Flynn or Massone. Yeah, you might end up putting up with a few years in Division Three while you pay off the debts that have been accumulated, but you'd find a lot of good will coming your way if you actually manage that, and can then focus on finding your level as a Division One or Two side varying on how big your fanbase is.
  20. Well, I see your point, but I'm not convinced that a Livi starting 20 or 30 points behind everybody else would pull in 1500, I mean are Dunfermline that massive a draw for Livi fans when they know that ultimately the result won't make any difference to their final league position of 10th? At least in Division Two they'd be competing, albeit against a lower standard of opposition with smaller supports. Combine that with an away fan boycott of Almondvale and I think it's the best option available at such a late hour. A Queens fan worried about the loss of revenue to other sides in the league, presumably because of the Livi away support dropping off? It's not like Livi have a mammoth travelling support, is it? Those who go are the hardcore, and they are likely to keep going regardless of the pointlessness.
  21. Nah, I think at this stage, a big points deduction, at least 20, would be a harsher punishment that straight forward demotion, because they won't possibly overcome that, they'll play all year knowing that they will be getting relegated, and that should hurt their crowds. So, especially at this late stage, I'm in favour of a hefty points deduction.
  22. Looks like they might be out of their depth in the First Division if they are getting pumped by Albion Rovers (no disrespect), maybe we should just keep them up and make their fans watch them getting thrashed every week as punishment?
  23. Jim Spence has just announced that one of his sources has said that Livi's chances of not being demoted stand at "slim-to-none" which is only fair really. Oddly they mentioned relegation to the Second rather than the Third Oh and well done Rovers!
