I nearly threw up in the last 10 minutes from nerves. Obviously didn't really expect anything, so to have them on the ropes only to give away a penalty was the stuff nightmares are made of.

Those last 10 minutes have been causing me nausea. Just absolutely shiteing it the whole time, especially when Hearts scored.

Currently raging at myself. Have a ticket to this, came home from work, had about 30 minutes before I had to get the bus, sit down on the couch for 5 minutes & wake up 2 hours later.

Sonam is right that the 2nd half was pretty poor, but honestly? Coming back from that 2nd half to score the winner was fantastic, we'd have not done than 3 weeks ago. Mind you, we'd also not have had a 2 goal lead to throw away 3 weeks ago. Playing pish & yet still coming back to win is the sort of thing that is the difference between staying up or getting relegated. Certainly very happy Cowie has his first wing, & hopefully we can build from that now. Getting some confidence in the squad.
For me, if I can't get enthusiastic for an injury time win over the time closest to us in the league then I'd stop watching football because clearly it could give me no joy.

I agree, this summer is the perfect time to add teams to the top flight, & definitely not because that looks like the only way County will stay up, honest

To be fair, we shouldn't have bothered winning the shoot-out, as the performance we put in in the semi against St Johnstone at Easter Road is one of the worst I've ever seen. For a ground we have no bother winning at when we play its owners, we've had some shocking semi finals there.
Almost, Roy McBain scored in the 1st half, Derek Holmes equalised for Hearts with maybe 15-20 minutes left. But we were top of the Third Division that season, won it fairly handily. Pretty sure that game played a large part in County signing Holmes at the end of the season for what seems like silly money now, a Third Division club spending 50 grand?
Oddly my abiding memory of the day was being amazed at Hearts selling popcorn at the concessions rather than just the standard pies and Mars bar. Seemed so big league, I don't know why.
Well, that and the Black Isle supporters bus dropping 4 of us, 14 year olds, off at 2am in a layby outside Inverness to find our own way home.

That game at Tynecastle was the first non-Highland away game I ever went to. Fun day out. Wasn't that Adams last game before being sold to Motherwell?

Whether you regard St Pauli as diddies or not seems to be missing the point. Which is that Willie Miller has a phone that he can spend 30 seconds googling a players name if he doesn't recognise you & would then be able to at least bluff you into thinking he knows a little of what's talking about. He can't even be arsed to do that.
I don't need the guys on the radio to know everything about every new signing but the bare minimum of effort for a job you're getting paid to do isn't actually asking all that much. He doesn't have to do this. I'm sure there's someone at NorthSound or the like (or more likely with Radio Scotland some barely sentient ex-pro) who'd grasp the chance to cover Aberdeen games with both hands.

Hard to disagree. We've got a pretty mediocre squad, the Adams term destroyed whatever squad atmosphere there was, the transfer window is locked shut & all we got to show for it were some loanees from the dark depths of English football. Don Cowie would need to be a miracle worker to see this team finishing higher than 11th. Obviously the Livvy game is the proverbial 6 pointer, come away with nothing there & we're really in deep trouble.
And aye, if you told me the grand total of County's scouting budget was buying a copy of Football Manager every year I'm not even sure I'd be shocked. Whatever it is it leaves an awful lot to be desired. Really needs to be sorted out.
