I would probably go for Jordan Allan even though he was only here half the season. Without his goals (QOS on the opening day to seal the win and draws against Dunfermline, Falkirk and Alloa) we'd probably be relegated already. Roberts deserves a wee mention too. You can tell they were struggling for goal of the season nominees. Cunningham against QOS for me for the team move leading to the goal. His finish against Peterhead from the tight angle was excellent too right enough.

Probably all of the above, we have definitely wasted funds that could have been better utilised. Thicot for a start is supposedly on a ridiculous wage for this level. Not sure if Edinburgh have a financial backer but I don't look at their squad and think there's loads of money getting chucked about. As Ruby says above, it seems a fair chunk of their fans have chucked it after their name change, stadium fiasco etc. Perhaps they budgeted for this season not expecting that and we might see a weaker Edinburgh next season should they supporters continue to stay away.

The last match between the sides at "home" was an excellent game but that was when Duffy was just in the door, we had got a good result at Dunfermline the previous week to build confidence and of course we had a goal scorer at the time too. This part's not quite answering your question but we played a back 4 away to Armenia last June with Taylor at LB. Think it was Oct 2020 Tierney was unavailable but we still had the back 3 with McTominay, Gallagher and Cooper/Considine. Probably talking round about the time Clarke first took over where we've played a back 4 with Robertson at LB. I definitely remember it was that in his first game against Cyprus and maybe 2 or 3 more games after that.

I wish I shared others confidence that we'd get through a 2 legged play off against potentially Dumbarton or Stirling. Dumbarton have already beat us comfortably in the Scottish Cup this season. FWIW I wouldn't be surprised if we finish bottom. Can't see us taking a single point from our remaining 6 games which includes a trip to Peterhead. We're 3 points clear of them just now with a much better goal difference so it would require Peterhead picking up points from one of their other fixtures too. Going to come down to very fine margins I feel. I think the top 4 will probably stay the way it currently is.

I was in South Upper and while it wasn't that loud I could definitely hear some booing from the other side. On the other hand I think I was the only person in the stadium to cheer when Dom Hyam's name got read out

I met an Aberdeen fan in the boozer last night and he just couldn't accept the fact that Ryan Jack is a good player. Just a seething mess of an individual. He would've definitely been booing.

Thought the game was pretty flat but job done at the end of the day. Porteous bar his daft yellow and Hanley were good, which will annoy all the dafties on twitter who've never watched football in their life questioning why they're (in particular Hanley) in the team. I was surprised Jack started (another one that frothed the mouths on twitter) but he done okay and I don't understand some of the criticism he gets. Never really let us down. The subs did happen at the right time though. Thought it was actually one of McGinns quieter games for Scotland but he still pops up with a goal. I suspect Gunn will be busier on Tuesday. Can only remember his wee slip and recovery then 2 saves from shots straight at him. They were absolutely stinking to be honest, the way they crowded the ref in the first half wanting a red for the foul Armstrong got booked for about 80 yards from their goal was embarrassing. PS this is a long shot but if anyone sitting in South Upper at the East corner happened to find a bracelet it's probably mine.

Don't know what the budget was but have heard from a few different sources about the salary some individuals are on and like you say about Lennon, it could've been far, far better used.

I can see a return to a back 3 in these games if I'm honest both because Robertson's back available and we don't have a great choice of centre halves to play a natural 2. I'm a Blackburn fan and Hyam has been a superb signing. Very consistent performer and has played RCB & CCB in a 3 at times and both sides of CB in a 2 so can slot in in a few areas whatever formation we decide to play if called upon.
