  1. Jesus H Torbett they highlights are grim viewing. Had to laugh at the commentary thinking Ballantynes challenge was a red card though when Lyon scissor challenged someone in the same phase of play right before it.
  2. I may be being slightly harsh here but I've watched Elgins first goal a few times and can't help but feel that Leighfield should've done better for that too. Angle could be misleading but just seems to me that that the ball is travelling towards goal so slowly and that he could adjust his feet quicker to get over and make a save rather than the hopeless outstretched dive. Second goal is inexcusable from any keeper. Hopefully something pops up in the goalkeeper department before the window shuts. Mullen or Mitchell would've been superb to get but circumstances obviously put paid to that. The talk on Leighfield actually seemed to calm down a bit recently with a steadier defence in front of him but you can't be making simple errors like that when we're in the position we are.

Managing Airdrie and just had this cup tie. Thought I was destined to lose it on penalties.
  4. That's our home kit, our away kits burgundy. Some sort of incompetence somewhere meant we don't have a traditional white kit this year (although we did wear last years away to Stenny earlier in the season I think).
  5. Reece James is also very injury prone so with that added to other factors like England using Alexander-Arnold in midfield more than RB recently and not having great options at LB meaning Trippier has covered there plenty of times (and it's a position Livramento can and has also played) means I'd agree there's next to no chance Livramento will be representing Scotland. Someone also mentioned about Newcastles dip in form but Anthony Gordon, from what I've seen, has still played well enough in the majority of the games. I think he's been the best English player in his position this season and not far away from a callup.
  6. Not that's a tie I'm expecting us to win regardless and league survival obviously the priority but notice all 3 new signings (and Jordan Allan) are cup tied so with so many going out the door and other new arrivals potentially cup tied too it'll be interesting to see what kind of team we can field against Aberdeen.
  7. The loan was only till January anyway wasn't it? Hence why he hasn't played in the Scottish Cup for us.
  8. Other clubs presumably whether that's a direct transfer, loan or released then we sign as a free agent.
  9. Aye I wouldn't expect it to be Mitchell either. Could be back in the Thistle side sooner rather than later if a couple of the Raith goals on Friday into Sneddon are anything to go by.
  10. No idea why the bet builder was higher odds than the 2+ single given it's the same thing in my eyes.
  11. Aberdeen will still likely sell out their allocation (which I imagine will be half the main stand, away stand and potentially the gazebo too) but a lot of them must've sighed when they found out we groundshare with Accies now, a ground most of them will have already been to whereas Broadwood isn't. Shame NDP capacity is smaller than Broadwood but will still be a good payday.
  12. After his appearance at left back at Firhill years ago I wonder what Marvyn Wilson's up to these days.
  13. Even in the very, very, very, very, very small chance Scott Brown is interested I'd far rather be appointing someone either (or ideally both) more experienced and managed at this level before given the position we're in and the trap door lurking over our shoulder. From names mentioned so far Jim McInally seems a stand out.

Anyone up and running yet? Started a save unemployed just to have a look through everything initially and Hibs have signed a bunch of ancient free agents including Adil Rami, Papiss Cisse and Phil Jagielka
  15. "to the extent that people have taken the option to stop attending matches at New Douglas Park." Aye, nothing to do with us being completely hopeless.
  16. Been to Deepdale a few times with Blackburn and I really like it. Got a similar feel to it as a Tynecastle or Easter Road. Generates a good atmosphere although Preston Blackburn is a local derby with a full away end so unsure what the atmosphere is like at a game like todays.
  17. Forfar haven't started the season too well but looking at their squad they are still better than us in every department.
  18. I'd rather talk about Conner Duthie than the actual game
  19. Bonnyrigg 1-1 Dumbarton East Fife 2-2 Peterhead Elgin 1-0 Stranraer Stenhousemuir 1-3 Forfar Spartans 3-1 Clyde
