  1. That was certainly the dates last year. Play off dates for the end of last season were announced on April 14th so hear for sure soon I imagine.
  2. I did mildly chuckle at the cheeky pat on the back King gave a Stranraer player on the way to join in celebrating the goal on Saturday
  3. I know that, I was just giving an example in answer to his question at the beginning of his post. I agree with his general point about being smart with the 3rd choice.
  4. Not checked stats for any more examples (if any) but Netherlands used their 3 keepers at the 2014 World Cup albeit the other 2 were very brief appearances. Jasper Cillissen was first choice, Tim Krul replaced him at the end of ET in a knockout game for the penalty shootout then I think it was Michel Vorm got a couple of mins at the end of their win over Brazil in the 3/4 place play off.
  5. Glad the new app seems to be ok. Had ticket for Tuesday but never bothered going in the end (thankfully!) so will be using it for the first time at the Finland game. Previous way was never a problem for me apart from once or twice being pished and taking 2 or 3 attempts to successfully scan the barcode but know for new things there can be teething problems.
  6. That will be irritating but with the Stranraer and Bonnyrigg both losing it's another point closer
  7. That's a mental stat
  8. Also may be wildly misremembering but thinking back in that 2/3 year spell I'm sure pretty much 9 of their 11 named itself most weeks with the only rotations from time to time (barring injuries/suspensions) being who partnered van Dijk and Milner coming in for one of the midfield 3 (Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum). That was a sensational game yesterday. Man Utd turning it around in extra time with a defence of Dalot - Fernandes - Maguire - Antony was remarkable.
  9. Englands new away shirt is a better Scotland home shirt than the Scotland home shirt
  10. If that team are anything to go by then I think letting him stay would be more of a punishment.

Found it difficult to really get into anything on this in the last wee while so tried something a bit different and holidayed a season with the aim of checking league tables and taking over a side that underachieved or even got relegated and was met by this. This could be a fun rebuild with plenty of sellable assets who'll no doubt want out the door.
  12. Managed to go so far this year just using free bets (or returns from free bets) and not depositing anything. Nothing on day 1 bar some shrapnel on a couple of e/w shouts although Quilixios let down a place acca covering every race (betfair daily free £2 acca) for a half decent return. Yesterday me and "the missus" W Hills free fivers went to good use with wins on Langer Dan then Captain Guinness although it felt a little bittersweet as went e/w when straight wins would've returned more. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though and at least it's bankrolled todays punts.
  13. Still less players out of position than our line-up at Firhill in 2008
  14. Don't know about now but when sales opened yesterday it was only sections at the East side
  15. Aye me and my mate have picked SU for our 3rd season ticket/5 match package in a row and while the views brilliant wherever you sit the atmosphere isn't great. We've sat at the corner flag at the East End the last twice but were hoping for a wee change and a move more central or towards the West End but yet again it was only the same sections open initially and the rest greyed out. It's quite stupid they don't just put the whole stadium on sale straight away, especially with 38,000 SSC members and groups/families who might struggle to get seats all together while other sections aren't even open for sale yet.
  16. Don't rate him personally but it's all about opinions and fair play to him for turning in a good performance yesterday
  17. Fair play to Buchanan for just completely moving out the way of Scullions free kick to let us back into it. Rennies 2nd is indeed a screamer.
  18. Aye you're right. Let's rephrase it to this being our 2nd away league win since 2021 then (unless I've made a c**t of that aswell).
  19. Might not be far off! From a quick think I make it 3 seasons in a row with 1 solitary league away win. Stenny today, QOS last season and Falkirk in 21/22. Basically if we're to stay up now then the points to overturn the deficit will be earned at "home".
  20. As frustrating as it is, I find it hard to get angry if a players playing poorly or makes mistakes. That can happen particularly at our level. It's a complete obvious lack of effort that should justify pelters (by all accounts Young, King and others against Forfar)
  21. The whole club would need emptied from top to bottom to even stand a chance. A losing mentality right through that would only continue. We've already exited a cup competition this season to the side currently sitting 9th in that division and albeit our squad is near enough completely different now to then, they're hardly faring any better. We haven't won an away league game in nearly 2 years and going to places like Boness, Tranent and Linlithgow Rose don't make me any more confident.
  22. Obviously the Grants for us as mentioned. In the past decade or so we've also had Olly McDonald (Paul), Jay Henderson (Darren), Chris McStay (Paul), Gregg Wylde (Gordon), Kyle Ferguson (Barry), Scott Durie (Gordon), Ross Millen (Andy), Bradley Coyne (Tommy), Mark Archdeacon (Owen) & Dale Fulton (Stevie). Can't help but think our recruitment policy over our banter years was "did yer Da play?"
  23. Absolutely. For the Lyon challenge not the Ballantyne one.
