I've never understood the attraction of getting pished at the airport or on a plane. Sitting in a cramped seat on a crowded Ryanair flight is pretty uncomfortable at the best of times. Being drunk just makes it worse. Why would you then want to negotiate your way through passport control and then find your way to the hotel whilst intoxicated? What is the fucking point?

I saw Oh, What a Lovely War at the Dundee Rep last week. It's a satire of WW1 that was made into a film in the '60s. An excellent performance, very slick and professional and really entertaining. The crowd was mostly older. The show is done in a parody of the old music hall with knees up style singalongs of WW1 songs. That would probably be lost on a younger audience.
