James Remar is also in Cruising, when he fights Al Pacino in his punders.
He also has a square go with David Carradine in The Long Riders.
Don't think I've ever seen him in anything else.

Yip. Threads scared the bejesus outta me.
I'm getting this book.
I got it on Google play last night and I read the first few chapters.
Grim, but very readable.

I know I know. I still wake up in a cold sweat thinking about me waking up in a cold sweat after seeing Threads etc as a child.
Still, you bet I’ll be buying this.

Gotta feel sorry for the **** who travelled all the way from Nairn for that.
That's not what they were chosen for.

Broken Chanter was decent last night in Beat Generator.
I also enjoyed the support act. A young female duo called The Cords, who had a bit of a C86 style jangly indie thing going on.

Mother earth is pregnant for the third time,
For y'all have knocked her up,
I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe,
I was not offended,
For I knew I had to rise above it all or drown in my own shit.

Between this and the claim an OF fan was made to eat dog shite I'm gonna have to request some video/photographic evidence.

Not much happening in Dundee in the foreseeable future.
Mostly Scottish indie bands. I've got tickets for Broken Chanter, Parliamo and The Shambolics.
Paul Weller is at the Caird Hall later in the year, but I'm not paying £50 for it.

I was planning to go, but the threat of rail strikes put me off.
Kinda glad that I didn't bother.

Aye these are all screamers to be fair. Shock Troops/Clash/Damned probably being my favourite of the list. Played with Chelsea a few times. Gene October is some boy. Their most recent stuff has been class actually.
About 30 or so years ago I saw Chelsea play in Oscars in Dundee.
Gene was stomping about taps aff with bondage breeks and army boots.
The following afternoon I was having a pint in the Phoenix... in walks Gene, looking pretty dapper with a smart shirt tucked into dress trousers and a pair of brogues.

The Ruts - The Crack
X Ray Spex - Germ Free Adolescent
Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks
The Clash - The Clash
Generation X - Generation X
I've tried to go pure punk there. I prefer post-punk stuff like Joy Division or The Cure.

I just saw The Lottery Winners at Beat Generator in Dundee.
The were very good. They don't take themselves seriously and spent as much time larking around as they did playing tunes.
A good, fun, entertaining gig.

I've watched the first 4 episodes of This Town on the iplayer.
Pretty decent.

I've just booked a ticket for The Bootleg Beatles at Fatties in Dundee in September. There's another tribute band called The Upbeat Beatles playing the Gardyne Theatre on the same night.
Australian Pink Floyd are at the Caird Hall later in the year. I'm undecided. I'm not really a Floyd fan but the show is pretty spectacular by all accounts. Reluctant to pay 36 quid for it though.

Quite. Montrose were patient and gracious hosts - thank you to them.
I get the feeling that their team is coming to the end of its life though, and the replacements they have as things stand are not up to the standard they will require to maintain their current position in the league.
Awrabest until next time.
Yeah, that's my fear.
Dillon is in his 40s. Steeves, Webster, Masson and Watson all played in the Brora game in 2015.
Wholesale changes are required and I just hope SP has something up his sleeve.

From a Montrose fan's perspective, for me this evening was down there with the 0-9 roasting I witnessed at Easter Road back in the early noughties! Don't get me wrong, Falkirk were decent but I never thought we would fold like we did in the second half. Losing two goals within five minutes of the restart was a horror show. While it wouldn't be fair to lay the blame solely on Cammy Gill, he did not have a good game. At least Hester did score a decent goal following a sublime pass from Machado. If he hadn't, we would be on negative goal difference. A meagre crumb of comfort really.
A sore one.
Yip. It was worse than I feared.

There goes our playoff hopes.
We still have a chance, but I personally don't think that we're good enough to go up. The team is getting old and more than a few changes are required.
Anyway, back to the main event. Congrats to Falkirk for going up in style. You've endured a few shite years but now you're back. Enjoy your night and good luck for next season.

Edinburgh City Vs Montrose

I was kinda expecting that.
I wasn't at the Alloa game, but we were rank rotten against Annan, Stirling and Falkirk.
The playoffs may be a pipe dream this year.
