Cowdenbeath 2018-2019
The Blue Brasilion replied to Drifter's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
Graeme Brown was like that when he first came to Cowden, he had to beef up as he was easily knocked off the ball, fast forward a couple of seasons and he could hold off defenders no bother, was rather good at it. -

March 13th, 1999 was when the game was played. Yeah some of the shirts from this period felt a size bigger on you, lol. -

Near enough got at least a sending off in every game., 3 in 1 game, ha! Did Levein no kick up a stick in the media about the Methil tinks diry tactics? -

Whilst having a clearout i came across a couple of old newspaper match reports that i kept but completely forgot about. From Pasquale Bruno turning out for Cowden to Broonie's late winning header in Methil. -

OK, 1st choice, Markus P, Toorie, Gus Malone, John Wright. 2nd choice, Mark Mckenzie (in 2nd div champ winning season) , Colin Scott, Neil Irvine and either Gomis or Tomana. Better mention Baz McMahon as he is my oldest kids head coach, ha! -

Davie Watt, Jimmy Boyle, Mark Baxter, Dean Brett, all excellent. I maybe the only one, but thought Robbie Neilson did OK when he was on loan to us from Hearts, had some long throw on him. -

When I first started going to Cowden games Ray Allan had just left so never had the privilege. Did not mind Buzz Lamont and John Martin but for me has to be Davie Hay. -

98/99 was worn by various players, Ally Hamilton, Graeme Brown, Wullie Stewart and JP Burns, Toorie wore it a couple of times. 99/00 various players wore it in first half of the season Paul Simpson, JP, Broonie and Murray. 2nd half of season it alternated between Broonie and Murray with Broonie wearing it the most. -

Falkingham tops the list, karma though from his fcuk up in the play off. Fanny Pannery was a right t*t. Big Mad Dog's revenge on him was pleasing. -

Was mikko Pattelainen a loan signing? Thought Robbie Neilson was ok when he was on loan from Hearts, those long throw ins he could do. Going off topic anyone remember when Pasquale Bruno did a cameo for us? -

Kenny Milne who we had on loan from Hearts in the late 90's, pretty sure he ran with the ball from his own goal to the coo shed end and scored, beating half the opposition team en route. Think it was either against Berwick or Montrose. Greg Stewart's Vs Dundee in 2-0 game at Central. As for own goals scored for us, last game of 90/91 season. an Alloa player scored a diving header from our corner, any striker would have been proud of it.
