  1. So anyone who wasnt at Dumfries today isnt a good fan? And its unreasonable to expect a club in the First Division to say something about a match on their website? Youre well named
  2. I was expecting a match commentary seeing I couldnt manage down. Other teams' websites and updates are much better than ours - I've seen our updates half an hour behind the action. Pretty poor. Still, it hasnt diminshed that winning feeling!
  3. Its a disgrace that the club website can't even post comment on the game 3 hours after it finished.
  4. Just an observation: with all the Fife teams playing in the Kingdom in a fortnight's time - ie our derby with Pars, the Fife v Peterhead at Methil and Cowden at home to QOS the SFL have moved Cowden's game to the Sunday. Just thinking if they can only attract 300 fans for their opening day in the First Division (481 - County fans) the SFL obviously think it'll be one Fifer and a dog and a dozen doonhamers if played on the Saturday.
  5. Yes ta, thats interesting. I reckon thats a class management act. Our passing and teamwork under Calderon was outstanding - teams couldnt get the ball off us. The only problem was that our great movement didnt produce a lot of goals. Paquito -how our midfield could do with a Paquito now. Good luck to them both.
  6. It shows that he's still well in at Stark's Park, and I'd be surprised if McGlynn hasnt been asking him questions about his intentions. I hope he comes back - even if he's lost some pace his presence is immense. Still, there's nothing more than speculation tho.
  7. Theres hardly a word of sense in all that shite. I said nothing about JT being responsible for Munro's failings -fukkin shite. As for your list of players I dont see the relevance in that list pf players either. Paul Browne was S-H-I-T-E, as his move to lower league teams showed. Paul Harvey hardly played a game for us, he was committed to the reserves for almost his whole time at Straks Park. And of course, as you well know all of this has fukk all to do with Jimmy Thomson's abilities as a manager. Maybe you'd like to recall where his 'managerial career' went after he left us? Well I'll tell you - fukkin Albion Rovers, then oblivion.
  8. Wee Tam played the team he inherited from Thomson. To say he was shite based on that is open to ridicule. The fact that he joined Jim at Dundee United is entirely irrelevant.
  9. It's a bit stretching it that we finished 6th under JT. We finished the season under him but he inherited Jimmy Nic's side late on in the season. JT took the football out of the side in favour of a solid look, that much is certain.
  10. Munro was a duff manager but it was Jimmy Thomson who killed us off. He got rid of all the ball players - including selling Micky Cameron to Hearts for a song - and brought in cloggers. If wee Tam had stayed I think he might have rescued us but not Munro.
  11. A lot of folk prefer to see a winning team in a lower division than a losing team above. Theres nothing wrong with that. Theres also the thrill of being in the promotion pack as we all know, even if we dont make it in the end. Still, I'd prefer to see us in as high a league as possible, and even if we find ourselves in a relegation fight, that has its own thrills.
