  1. With the greatest of respect to Hamilton, they're one of the few clubs that can cope without any fans at all. Allan Maitland was on the radio last week saying they'd be fine if we went for a season of closed door football. Their terrible support is now coming up millhouse for them!
  2. I'd normally give a journalist a free pass on some bad articles or ridiculous opinions. We all have bad days at work and we've all been on the opposite side of the general consensus of something at some point. It's his refusal to back down, him saying you must be an idiot if you disagree and his constant refusal to even acknowledge any other opinion that's did it for me. That's alright if you're posting in a heated debate on the likes of P&B, but not when you're supposed to be the most senior sports journalist (For the BBC) in the country.
  3. The actual match had Arn Anderson and Scott Hudson as a commentary team: Full match but poorer quality:
  4. 'Are you saying Ann Budge, a successful businesswoman would make a mistake?!' Tom said, incredulously.
  5. Maybe already appointed and just not announced due to situation... Cleland not running the show then?
  6. I'm getting the same, but without the error message, it just goes blank: Using Firefox if that's any help recreating the issue.
  7. My favourite band Hot Chip have done a remix of possibly my favourite song at the moment which is: And... it's a bit shit.
  8. Same old Forfar, throwing their weight around.
  9. Voted for, 'He's good - but recently declined'. That's a bloody understatement. He's went in my eyes from being one of the top journalists in Scottish sport to the absolute worst over one news item. I'd have given him the benefit of the doubt if he admitted he'd got it wrong but the fact he's continually doubled and trebled down on one side of this issue that is clear for pretty much everyone to see is wrong is an absolute disgrace. To be the lead writer for BBC's Scottish sport output and only reflect one half of a story is quite frankly horrendous. To be publicly decrying that if people had an open mind they'd agree with him and that it's only Celtic fans that disagree is absolute lunacy. In reality, his handling of this disaster has been a disaster and would see any self-respecting journalist finished. That's not the world we live in. When Chic Young & Neil Doncaster are owning you, it's time to pack it in.
  10. It legitimately feels like a 2nd child as the boy pictured hasn't even turned 1 yet. That's my only hope for the new kitten not getting absolutely smashed as soon as Loki (The cat above) spots him.
  11. Do you think you'll appoint a new manager anytime soon? Bit of a weird position to be in where you want the new guy to be building and planning for the future (For example, a new manager might want to keep Swanson or one of the other out of contract players) but equally, with football still not looking to get off the ground in the foreseeable, it'd potentially be deemed an unnecessary expense.
  12. I was watching some WhatCulture/Cultaholic/some other random wrestling youtube video the other day and they were on about how Vince McMahon was considering Monday Night WCW and Smackdown being the two entities with Shane legitmately running WCW (With Vince's help). A terrible Buff Bagwell vs Booker T match apparently put the kibosh to that .(And a host of other reasons undoubtedly) Whilst I don't think that'd necessarily have worked, I do think it's criminal that Raw and Smackdown have never felt like separate entities even during the brand split. Yeah, there have been subtle differences at times but largely just a continuation of the same style of show. NXT has proven that certain fans tune into different styles of wrestling products. I know the PG debate is largely pointless if there is no good storylines, but Vince has proven he can deliver variety in his time, I just wish he made a full fledged effort to differentiate the shows rather than his half arsed attempts. Aim Smackdown for a completely different audience would've been a big risk but at a time when there was zero competition, this could've changed the face of the wrestling landscape. Aim one show for wrestling purists (NXT), another for kids and merchandise buyers (Smackdown) and the other for the 'drama' lovers (Raw). It'd never catch on though. Sorry for the ramble!
  13. The act of jumping over seats to avoid the queue to leave at FT - a w**k move or accepted practice? Something I've done since a wee boy, but in any other walk of life it'd piss me off ie, cars that stay in the right hand lane until the very, very last second.
  14. Genuinely believe that at some point the developed world is just going to say, 'f**k it'. Already reports that the Corona virus will be here long term and despite the ridiculous comparisons to the flu, it may well end up just being treated like that. Obviously I don't hope that's the case and it'll not happen any time soon, but that'd be a blessing in disguise for clubs in this league.
  15. The permanently seething kitten trying to pretend he's nice as pie after spreading the contents of his litter tray round the house. Little does he know he's getting a wee kitten brother at the end of the month. Then we'll see how cute he really is.
  16. Only Celtic fans that are laughing at Tom. Keep fighting the good fight.
  17. That moment really is an underappreciated moment for being the most shitebag action ever taken by a Scottish club. Essentially condemned us to OF rule for another 8 year (And realistically many more to come).
  18. Rab Douglas the latest to slap down Gardiner and confirms that Dave MacKinnon is a top guy: https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/opinion/rab-douglas/1319267/rab-douglas-scot-gardiner-dave-mackinnon-dundee-fc-inverness/amp/?__twitter_impression=true In all seriousness, MacKinnon appointing Alex Rae (Who actually provided us with some very entertaining football before it went off the rails because it's Alex Rae) aside he had a great wee stint with us. Loved to overhype the most mundane of things. Built it up for weeks that we were in talks with a top ex-EPL player and he was doing all he could to get him, turned out to be David Worrell. Gardiner, obviously, not so much. Hyped up a link with AC Milan but had just purchased a package plan that was open to amateur clubs.
  19. Also, where have we stated an 'alternate opinion' as Tom suggests? We've been quiet on the whole subject.
  20. Tom English refusing to comment on Morton's reply to Inverness or the Daily Record article on Gardiner being exposed:
  21. Probably sacked for inappropriate behaviour. Just attaching pictures of Ainsley Harriott to any essays.
  22. Today has been shite. A backtracking statement from Livingston aside, it's half 1 and this thread has had a debate about the word 'effectively'. Shite state of affairs.
  23. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/secret-inverness-plan-null-void-22011151 https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/morton-chief-trashes-inverness-null-22014426
  24. I'm the same with Derek Ferguson tbh. He obviously loves watching any football at all. Do you expect great insights from him? No. But he'll tell you who scored and have more enthusiasm about getting paid to watch football than anyone else on the programme. Think that says more about Scottish football punditry than Derek Ferguson! Completely agree though.
