  1. Watching the Trump lead shrink in some States is something else. Be really interesting to see the next update from Pennsylvania. If Biden gets that turned round all Hell will break loose....makes for good telly though!
  2. Think its more to do with him making that statement when there was still @50% of the votes to be counted across all states due to the mail in, that and announcing at that point to say it should all be stopped and it's a fraud is why folks are going off on one. Even a good few of his own party are really not happy with that outburst.
  3. Poor guy will pass out for a week after this! I'm amazed he's still as clear in what he's outlining given how long he's been there. On another point the only bet i put on was for BIden to get between 65-69.999m votes...might be tight but still chance of getting a ay out
  4. He's either plugged in getting a recharge before going full on assault or they've taken his phone off him to try and prevent something worse from happening/ being said...
  5. Seems to hit the nail on the head as to why he has such a following and it's hard to argue against.
  6. I heard this morning that the reason Nebraska has that system in place where they can have split seats was that they felt unrepresented by either party so had the split seating as they knew it could sway elections....might well come through. I really don't understand* why the EC seats aren't just split by the proportion of votes cast for each party *...when i say i don't understand, i do but it seems mental that they can't/ won't change it for a more democratic/ representative system
  7. Just flicked onto CNN there and they're reporting that the Republicans are really not happy with his press conference asking for voting to stop and claiming all sorts of fraud. He might have made that call a bit early for some of them to stomach it and might have pushed it too far for a lot of them now. To question the thing that they claim to believe in the most - democracy seems a really strange move... ...apart from trying to mobilise his radical followers into conspiracy and reprisals of course...
  8. At least we know why the fence was built round the White House, it was to keep him in not keep folks out...
  9. He's definitely getting all the states named and saying he's won in case they declare the other way then can go off on one. Seems insane to me that it's even a contest at this stage
  10. So close, he's going to call this as his election even now isn't he...
  11. Seeing the boarding up of Washington and the non-scalable fencing going up at the White House should be (you'd think!) a reminder to the voters in the US of everything that is wrong with their country. In no country that is 'free' and democratic should you need to board up places in case of a riot should an election going the wrong way and folks just not having faith in the system whichever side of the fence you're on.
  12. the Republicans are really ramping up the voter fraud replies, absolute scenes and chaos if there are close calls. General question though....what do folks think will happen if Biden is well in front in the EC votes and those declared aren't really close at all and then there is a contentious state...do you think the GOP will push the voter fraud line if it really makes no difference?
  13. The closer it gets to the election day the more i'm 'concerned' that we could see Biden get a huge amount of the popular votes and a higher percentage than HIlary had and Trump will just be able to scrape through with the EC votes in the swing states. It's looking like Biden might have done enough but i certainly wouldn't be ruling Trump out. Whatever happens i reckon it'll be more interesting after Election Day than what actually happens on the night.
  14. Just seen on Twitter that Donny has been tweeting again. Sent a tweet at 02.57 US time to say that if Biden wins the election and the Supreme Court allows it then it's their fault that the country will apparently be in ruins. How has he not had that phone removed? Tweeting at that time of the morning with another blame game really isn't a good look. Quite a few of the comments back are pointing out that calling his opponent 'sleepy' at 3am isn't really an insult
  15. i'll be working from home but will have the US news channels on the telly...might actually get some work done depending on what's happening.... Is there a few states where they are counting the ballots as they're received? Though Florida was one of them? Sure i heard that due to so many early voting and some states counting they'll have a very good idea on the night as to whether there would be any challenges or contentious counts
  16. He really does and was torn about voting for Trump - i'm still amazed by it to be honest but he just feels that Biden is a less capable option in his eyes and will actually cause more long term damage to the US internationally and economically that will take them a huge time to recover from. It's a bit of a blanket statement to say folks that vote for Trump don't care about either of those things...i'm sure a lot do, just not enough... He's lived in the UK for 20+ years so i'm not sure how much that alters how he see's/ believes whats going on domestically and how that influences things. From what he said a large amont of corporate folks will back Trump as for a large part of the US, economy is the main thing...
  17. Didn't think Trump would be in with a realistic chance till i spoke with my boss yesterday. An intelligent, hard working and really nice guy who told me he'd voted for Trump as he can't see how Biden can help the economy and deal with China. To hear someone like him say he's voting for Trump even though he doesn't like him and hates what he's done to the country in terms of diversity shows just how torn some 'sensible' people must be. Still think Biden will win and if it is comfortable then i can't see much challenge in terms of not accepting the result. The GOP has enough damage repair to try and get on with for 2024 if they get beaten without actually challenging the actual democratic process more than they already have done
  18. Its certainly the Democratic campaign strategy that they needed to swing a few focused states as they knew that the vote turnout in the already blue states was going to be high and like in 2016 they don't want to win the popular vote and still lose out. They're certain to win the popular vote - I don't think it will happen this time but Trump could well get in again through the Electoral College but lose by a significantly higher number of popular votes than the last time
  19. I had completely forgotten that he had full executive powers till early Feb next year even if he loses - could see some serious craziness between next week and then if he gets pumped. It will be interesting to see if there is any assistance with transition post the election and also just how many records, files and information disappears before the new team get into the White House
  20. Cheers! I sometimes switch on to CNN in the evenings and it's normally Jake Tapper that's on. It's still not neutral in anyway but watching interview Republicans is always good for a laugh, his interview with Mark Meadows over the weekend was something else.
  21. So would i but i can see how Southgate could see it as very short termist given the age of the others. Vardy may be ok for the Euros next year but longer term its probably better to get players in who'll be around in 8-10 years time? Wish Scotland had that problem
  22. I'm sure he asked not to be considered as he was fed up travelling about but not getting any game time unless Kane was injured. I think he's tremendous and could easily be playing but with Calvert-Lewin getting a chance and Greenwood and Rashford getting call ups i can't see it. I think Danny Ings is a great replacement for Kane if he gets huckled, shame it didn't work out for Ings at Liverpool as he always seems a good player to have in the team.
  23. Popular vote split - Biden 53% Trump 43% Electoral College split - Biden, but it'll be a bit closer than the polls have it just now Specific states - Trump will lose one of the biggies for the GOP like Texas or Florida Wild card - Horrible thing to predict but i can't help but feel that if Trump loses he'll go into full meltdown and his fanatic followers will se it as a signal to make an attempt to take out Biden. Biden won't run for a second term if he gets to 2024 if he goes full term
  24. I really struggle to understand how any right minded folks can vote for the Tango man to get in again. I listen to the Americast pod and have enjoyed their insight, their interviews with undecided voters and some staunch Republicans are worrying. To hear folks actually say that they hate Trump, what he's done to the Republican party, how he's dealt with COVID, how he's running the country and dealing with things but say that they just have to vote for him as they can't let Biden in as he's 'liberal' is nuts. If you hate him that much don't vote, at least that way you've not voted the other guy in..
  25. Just got an email from the 'Brandshop' place - they don't ship outside Russia and you need a domestic address. Though about asking big Vlad up in Red Square if he could pop one in a diplomatic bag for me but i'd be a bit fearful of what would arrive... Dropped a note to the fan club address in the hope someone would be able to help
