I do believe Dundee have only finished twice in the top-6 since the Millennium. Last qualified for Europe 20 years ago and last won a major domestic honour over a decade before the end of the Cold War.

The same can't be said for other teams like St Johnstone or Dundee Utd just as a few examples. Getting in the top-6 isn't their Everest, just a good season. For Dundee, it's your Everest - your moment in the sun. Congratulations.

    Thank you and goodbye.

    Agreed.

Been up and down with him all season but I've finally came to the conclusion he's not what we need - definitely need better for next season to improve further as a club.

Mellon and Main starting hopefully for this one. Mains goal that was unfortunate to be chalked off last night was real bullying of a defender which Bakayoko hasn't got in his locker.

I'd be dropping big Joe aswell for something like:

    Carson

    McGhee Lamie Donnelly Beck

    Mulligan Sylla Boateng

    McCowan

    Main Mellon

    Thank you.

Only real plus point from last night was another goal for Mellon, which he took very well, Main should have been off the mark also.

As you say, both to start.

    Thank you.

When we rehomed our dog (a collie from a farm), the farmer, wearing a celtic-badged beanie hat, was insistent that her name was a common girl's name - but with an 'h'.  Make sure you spell it like that, he said (it never ever has an 'h').

She's a fantastic, happy dog (who had to have urgent treatment for an infected tooth which was so bad it smelled; fleas; and malnourishment once we'd got her off the farm, not to mention filthy matted fur which needed a lot of care to put right) - and we immediately changed her name to something which sounded similar - with no 'h' in it.

I agree that adding an 'h' to things is tragic and an absolute minter.  Celtic fans often do it, which is why fans of normal clubs take the piss out of them by doing it too - and it always makes me think of the day we rescued Fern, and the state she was in.

    Nice dog.

    I've got the cat version.

You know you had the option of turning the volume off,  cutting your ears off with a rusty saw or if really necessary blowing your brains out,

all of which are more appealing options.

I turned it off at one point, and then foolishly put it back on again.

The arse is probably making a decent living at this, gibbering shite on that and Sportscene.

Just in case your interest in Dundee gangs from the late ‘60s into the ‘70s extends beyond the YLF.  I think the Whitfield Shams colours were only used when Jack and Victor led the gang………*

*they were in fact sky blue with a white stripe if I remember correctly.  Perhaps @Derry Alli can confirm.

That's a right blast from the past, middle aged women churning them out on knitting machines/hand knitting.

    Thank you.

Chance to freshen the team up. A youthful squad has the chance of beating Celtic. They hate it if you try and beat them and as soon as you put every fan behind the ball that is when they find a way to beat us. Chance to try something new. Won't happen but Mulligan and Donnelly full backs with McGhee back in CB. Midfield Boateng and Robertson back in. Mellon and Main up top. From the highlights I noticed Carson made a save and he was in pain with his shoulder. Good time for McCracken and Astley to be introduced.

Good shout, but now is not the time to be experimenting, maybe if we were top six post split.

Like the idea of two forwards though, no point in Bakayoko running around on his own. (think he needs dropped as well)

Need Boateng and big Mo in central midfield as well. IMO.

    Thank you.

Yes, I can adjust the time, date and 24h function with the crown.

Probably a dud battery then, shouldn't happen with a new watch though, would just go to one of the Timpsons booths and get them to change it, they're pretty good, I get the guy in Arbroath, to do bracelet changes etc.

    Hi again all.

Perhaps this is stupidity on my part... I now own this watch, but out of the box it is not moving at all. I have tried playing around with the crown and cannot see any plastic tab to remove or anything like that.

    Any thoughts, gents? Thanks

Should just be running if it's a quartz, can you adjust the time etc when you pull out the crown?
