People are forgetting what we have had since MM took over how many years ago. I have been attending the Recs since a a nipper in the 1950's. Honest. Some good teams but mostly languishing in the bottom tiers. Think back over the last ten years or so. We are on our second plastic pitch, we got rid of the glaur (although I still have some on an old pair of shoes.) We have played in the same league as Hearts, Rangers, Hibs. A sustained spell in the Championship. Great times compared with what has gone before in probably the whole history of the club. So the chairman, who is no fool has made a bad appointment. Give him a bit of slack, there will be all sorts of stuff going on under the radar. He is the chairman, could any of us achieve that? The man who never made a mistake never made anything.

Does anyone think that Peter Grant is worth another try?

Peter Grant got pelters from a few fans in the wee enclosure in front of the stand for a few games then confronted them after a game. The rest of the staff eventually pulled him away. The enclosure was closed off for a while after that. One of the fans was a big fat guy who was old enough to know better the rest were youngsters. I wonder if it is the same crew this time.

Did Andy not get beaten for pace to allow the cross for both goals?

Most seem agreed on the order of best manager. I would put Goodwin ahead of Ross because of his communication with the fans, Something that appears to be even more non existent with Grant.

There was one numpty ( a regular offender I think) shouting dogs abuse at the referee) , The ref, while walking off looked across and winked at the abuser, and then he went up the tunnel. That's all I saw.

Wee warning , Edinburgh Cities web page has them playing at Meadow bank but they play at Ainslie Park which is actually easier to get to from Alloa. Will there be segregation or can we wander about as we please?

We have had several class strikers, Spence, Renton ,Malcom and others but if you don't get quality ball to them they fail. We have a defender as coach and our goals against is very good. We have a goalkeeper coach. How about we have a coach for the forward half of the team? After all we have one of the lowest scoring teams in this division.

Probably looking for a guy who can come a bit deeper and keep things going. Agree with this. I am not too sure that we can afford to play with an out and out striker when we have several players who can score. With an out and out striker we are effectively playing with ten men.
