Scan numero uno: Holy shit what an experience, over a lot quicker than I imagined, kind of a surreal in (kick the guts clean out you and pap you back in the hallway with your pics), seeing the wee one all balled up, she then managed to shift him/her so he/she was stretched out a wee bit, the feeling when his heartbeat was going ten to the dozen (I literally could have scanted myself and ran around the hospital liked I'd scored the winner at East End Park), the news his brain was forming (already a cut above his old man) and all was as it should be. f**k man I almost didn't get the time off work cause I'm so busy, I'm so glad I managed to get, that was off the charts. We thought it was 12 weeks but the measurements at the scan says only 10 weeks so due date of 29th March 2011.

Well done big chap.

I'm pretty much bricking it to be honest, scared yet excited, trying to play it low key at the moment but deep down petrified of anything going wrong, gonna be a long morning at work. is it appropriate to dance like my old fella at getting the thumbs up tomorrow?

12 weeks for us, got the scan tomorrow afternoon - first 'real' feeling today about it, think it's gonna hit me like a truck tomorrow at the scan.

Midwife visit tomorrow (had to re-arrange), crack pipe tucked away till tomorrow night. 12 weeks on Monday coming.

Unless you can shift yourself matrix style, at times you can't help it.

Didn't realise crayfish was pretty much prawns, found that out when I ordered them whilst dining out at the weekend.

Aye, we'd talked about it, getting married next year so we'd planned to have after that, I've obviously got some sort of super spunk (or the postie does) and it had other plans. Came as a huge shock, to be honest it still doesn't feel 'real' even when we are talking about it.

11 weeks yesterday, our first too, I'm only saying cause we had midwife appt about the 7 week mark and it was just blood pressure check etc, get a pregnancy guide away for some home reading. She'll be sick as a dug most likely soon, my missus got it right bad about the 6 to 10 week mark, she also got mega tired so it meant she was in her bed as the midweek fitba was kicking off..................result!

P.S. doubt it will be a scan on Thurs as there will be nowt to see, it'll be a meet and greet the midwife, check blood pressure and give you a what to expect booklet. Check me, I'm like a baby guru now.

Good work big man, you've done your part, so fire yer feet up and crack open a cold one, oh yeah. We have first scan week tomorrow, the midwife or health visitor is coming out to ensure we are sumbag jakeballs on Thursday this week so the missus has ensured I'll be at work during visit.

Missus left me in cherge of dinner, my only stipulation was it wasn't to be takeaway. I've stepped up to the late with smoke sausage, curly fries, battered mushrooms, onion rings, potato wedges and bbq beans - amazing shout big stuff.

Bitten by some fucking manky beast during the week on the back of my knee up at the fitba, ma whole back of knee is swollen and up the side of my thigh creeping up to my bollocks. It's itchy as f**k.

First scan date through, 1st of September, bish bash bosh, back of the net.

Don't like cake or chocolate, my vice however is jelly sweets, by christ can I eat tons of them.

Janine or summit will end up landlady, the fat mardy cow, it'll be some shite storyline about her fucking dad who probably tampered with her, the loon that she is.

Just play it cool, if you can't find something shout at the top of your voice "where the f**k is the <insert item>" they will think not only your a cool c**t, but your pro-active and cool under pressure.
