  1. On a slight tangent, do any season ticket holders have their £5 tickets for tomorrow going spare? I'd like to take my lad along to his first game, but not sure how well he'll tolerate it at 3 years old so haven't wanted to shell out £50 for me and the Mrs just to possibly leave after half an hour. Would be gratefully received, happy to send monies by PayPal etc.
  2. There will be tackles like that Shinnie one up and down the country today and in real time without the benefit of slow motion replays, none will be given as red cards. I'm sick of this obsession of looking for freeze frames of players being caught on the shin. A total misuse of VAR and a misunderstanding of the rules, you can catch someone on the shin without recklessly endangering their safety.
  3. I actually liked the look of him, was about the only player during the Hammell debacle that I ever seen hit the byline. Looked a really hard worker too. Good luck to him, he and McKinstry unfortunately victims of the change of shape.
  4. Looked like he was holding his hip, hopefully just a dead leg. Took quite a thump.
  5. We were excellent today, particularly in midfield. Won a lot of second balls and showed good composure. Committment and desire on show all over the park. Thought Harry Paton done well when he came on and looked sharp for a player with little recent game time. A few look to be completely frozen out, namely McKinstry and Crankshaw. Can't help feeling sorry for them but they probably just don't fit the system. Players playing in their proper positions has been a big part of our success I reckon. Hibs were rotten. Marshall is needing to hang up the gloves. Nisbett scored a good goal but his attitude looks rotten. Harry Mckirdy, the less said the better.
  6. That was great entertainment. Give me a tattie field over astroturf. Morton seem to be stuttering just at the wrong time.

  8. Only game I've watched Inverness in person this season was the 4-0 against Motherwell in the LC and they were hopeless. Some turnaround, looked a different side there. Killie are really woeful. Cynical style of play and players lacking both quality and I think a bit of application tok. They'll stick with McInnes this late in the season but would be surprised if they were anywhere above 11th at the end of the season. Not really a huge upset, but a good start to the quarter final fixtures, hopefully continuing with a home win at lunchtime tomorrow.
  9. I see Liam Polworth has resumed his usual levels of application.
  10. World's hardest young team on the uncovered terrace up there.
  11. That should have been a red, looked bad enough slowed down and even worse at full speed.
  12. Just saw the ticket prices. Trying to skin people £27.50 to watch a game on a plastic pitch, particularly after the circumstances of the last call off is absolutely outrageous.
  13. Took in the game as a neutral. Have watched Morton a few times on BBC Shortbreid in Imrie's time and been impressed but they were miles off it all over the park tonight. Liam Grimshaw is never a full back. Often shunted there at Motherwell just by virtue of being a hard worker, but Morton needed him in the middle tonight as they were second to everything that dropped in there. No width at all, don't remember a Morton player hitting the byline. Persisted with hoofball which McGinty hoovered up. A bad night at the office overall. Ayr look a very tidy side. Akinyemi and Maguire look like a great pairing and was impressed to see Maguire play the full 90 minutes at that intensity, had assumed he'd be struggling for fitness. Next four league games for Ayr look huge with very winnable games against Accies, Arbroath and Cove along with a big away trip to Dundee. The league doesn't look beyond the realms of possibility just yet.
  14. It got put off in disgust yesterday afternoon. A sycophantic Old Firm wankfest. If they're not strumming themselves over the gruesome twosome they're greeting about fucking VAR at great length. Michael Stewart is an absolute joy vacuum, his act is so tiresome.
  15. Really happy to see Connor Shields doing well. He was unfairly hung out to dry out of position in an awful Motherwell team and looked a player drained of confidence. Glad he's back on the goal trail and presumably enjoying his football, looks to have worked out well for all parties.
  16. We were a long way off it first half. Had the better of the second half overall and think we were worthy of the equaliser. There should have been 7 or 8 minutes added on at full time, not 3. All in all it was a poor game of football with a flash of brilliance at the end. I notice the lights are on at RP most evenings, the pitch must be seeing a lot of use and it shows. It's really not fit to charge punters £25 to watch a game on. I know we done it ourselves for long enough, but what's with confining the away supporters to the top half of the stand?
  17. Watched the Daytona 500 on Sunday night. Was fairly enjoyable right up until the underwhelming finish. A tight race for the line on the final lap but the race ended under caution after a crash behind the leaders.
  18. Have I imagined it or was there a channel called TNT in the mid 90's that used to show Wrestling and possibly Nascar? EDIT - There was; https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/338030/sky-astra-lineup-early-90s
  19. Holloway would be all sugar or all shite I reckon, seems a bit of a gamble. I think Grant McCann fits the profile of the type of manager we've gone for in the past and I'd be happy enough with him. Ross was very unfairly sacked at Hibs but it does concern me the way the players at Dundee United clearly turned on him and downed tools, some of our group have very recently shown their propensity for such behaviour. Kettlewell has to be in with a shout purely on the basis of getting something resembling an acceptable performance from that shower of charlatans last night. If any of the above names manage to keep us in this league it will be no small feat, but also a damning reflection of the rest of the shite round about us.
  20. Not a chance he'll walk IMO, suspect his personal circumstances will dictate that. Not like he'd have made a fortune as a player. If there's nowhere for them at the club then neither he or Kerr would be guaranteed a full time gig in football. I don't blame him, he's not really got any stock to lower so may as well stick it out as long as possible.
  21. Anyone know how EK Thistle v Lanark ended?
  22. Seem to remember him being a bit of a hatchet man, happy with that.
  23. Thought Connor Shields played well. Held the ball up nicely and put in a couple of good crosses when he drifted out wide. Hopefully can regain a bit of confidence at the lower level ahead of playing there with us next season.
