  1. Songbook in full flow. Honest to f**k just go bust again and for good. Vermin.
  2. Genuinely couldn't care much less for this. The game on Tuesday has scunnered me with Albion Rovers gaining a point against Kelty being the cherry on top. Although the highlight was Mr Sked letting out a Homer-esque yelp when we equalised. Definitely not top of my list of things I expected to hear on a Tuesday night at Central Park. Would be utterly typical of us to win. Or maybe not. Meh.
  3. f**k off. Incredible we haven't made one single sub. So easy to see Forfar coming back into it as the minutes went by. Disgraceful management.
  4. Unable to sleep, found myself for the last hour or so on the old unofficial websites. I was a fair bit younger at the time but remember getting loads of info from the blue-brazil page and the .net page. We've had some really good players represent us in my time of supporting. Some of those names I'd completely forgotten about and I found myself interested in how a lot of the youth turned out. A reminder of some of the guys that played for us as well as names on the pages of people who are no longer with us certainly made me reflect a bit of how quickly life does pass by. Interesting to see some of the interviews particularly from Jim Leishman and Craig Levein on the blue-brazil.co.uk page. I'm sure there was also a forum on the .net page but I couldn't see a link to it so I suspect it's long gone. No highlights package, online lottery or online shop back in those simpler days!
  5. When the actual f**k is someone going to have the balls to throw the book at the gruesome twosome for sectarianism? Fine the two clubs a shit load of money every offence. Reinvest said money back into Scottish football. Stops them spunking as much money on players and hopefully weakens them. If only.
  6. Didn't know Elgin were full time. Pretty useless and a dreamer to boot. Delusional in his thoughts on his own ability methinks.
  7. Bobby Barr is done. Useless. Nobody will change my mind on that matter. I'm absolutely scunnered at that today. No idea what the penalty was for but the referee was blowing before the guy even hit the deck. We're our own worst enemy though. Coupled with yet more incredibly shite officiating is not a good mix. I actually can't believe the linesman didn't give/see the handball around 15 minutes before the eventual penalty. Laughable, pathetic and inept. I really hope we can somehow find something in the playoffs. We'll need Cove-esque luck.
  8. Not sure what's more embarrassing. Us actually beating Stenny or the fact Bobby Barr has scored one of the goals that helped. Ouch.
  9. Not this weekend... Have we trained this week?
  10. Apathy has well and truly set in on here it would seem. I'd say Saturday's game v Albion Rovers is a must win.
  11. January may well prove to be one of the most important months in the destiny of this football club. We/Maurice/the club need to recruit players that will bring something to the table that we currently don't have - of similar ilk to when we signed Jordyn Sheerin and Bryan Gilfillan. In spite of deserving the win last week, this bunch of players won't dig us out the hole we're in.
  12. That should really have been more comfortable than the scoreline suggests - our finishing is diabolical. That said I'm absolutely buzzing. Excellent and deserved win and a cracking shift from everyone.
  13. Going by the Forfar twitter page we're getting a bit of a pumping.
  14. To lose the game the way we did is tough to take but the effort levels and organisation was a breath of fresh air. Make no mistake about it though Kelty are an excellent side with superior players to us who are sharper and fitter all over the park. That's what money gets you however credit to their management team, they are very well organised too. Not happy at losing atall but that was a far more promising and disciplined looking side today than what we've been used to.
  15. Let's get into these Fife mutants tomorrow! We need to be at the top of our game if we're to get anything from it which I suspect we won't. That squad Kelty have would challenge at the top of League 1. It'll be classed as a derby game by the media but it's quite difficult to drum up much needle due to the general good will shared between both clubs over the years. Many supporters of both clubs have been to each others games, I know I've been to a fair few Kelty games! Offer me a point right now and I'd take it without hesitation and it'll be interesting to see how Mo sets us up for El Coalasico. Oh and the new strip is a belter.
  16. Pretty happy with that. Time will tell if correct or not but it's in his favour as much as ours to get us out this hole. I imagine it'll be an initial contract til season end?
  17. Interesting you state successful as that only really leaves a small pool of former managers... IMO, Mixu, Cameron, Lennon all successful although Mixu (money) and Lennon (in a job) have to be discounted. This leaves Nicholl and Levein as the only other people that can be argued as being successful in recent-ish years. It won't be Levein though as I think him and the QC had a bit of a falling out not too long ago. Please let me be wrong about Mixu. I'd piss myself laughing if he was somehow appointed. Bring back the three Paatelainen's, f**k it.
  18. Jimmy Nicholl can get in the bin. Thankful for him providing us with some excellent times but towards the end of most recent tenure was a complete and utter shambles/embarrassment.
  19. I'll voluntarily drive his wheelchair if that's what it would take to get him to come back!
  20. It was very much tongue in cheek. He certainly wouldn't have been put into the 'approachable' bracket for me as well! There will be options though. I imagine we'll have some guys nearing the end of their careers that will be looking to get into management and we'll also have guys that have been around the block a bit. Both come with risks. I'm just glad it'll not be Gary Bollan in charge now.
  21. The points regarding approachability are bang on. As much as I remember, Levein, Lennon, Paatelainen and Nicholl were all brilliant, even Nish, Locke/Brown came across as genuinely decent people. What is Colin Cameron up to these days?
  22. Today was a disgrace and this departure has happened too late for me, he should have been gone after the Stenny game last week. We can be thankful for Gary keeping us in the league when he took over but let's be honest, we were fortunate in the Cove game in the end. The football we've played in general has been utterly turgid under Bollan. I see a wee note in the statement regarding covid - every single club had to deal with this. We aren't unique when it comes to covid so using that as even a tiny excuse is totally null and void. I don't know Gary as a person but I really do not like his demeanour, I never have even before he took charge. His scarce interviews come across as him being an arrogant sod which is backed up by various conversations I've had with some people who have crossed paths with him. The discipline record under him is nothing short of farcical as well albeit we did have Cox in our side for a period plus the walking yellow card that is Fraser Mullen. All in all I am delighted to see him out (save me the 'I don't like seeing anyone lose their job' pish - the very future of our club is at stake) but the players absolutely need to take a big share of responsibility. We have some decent players underperforming my opinion - this may well be due to not being motivated/fed up of Bollan but they really do need to roll the sleeves up no matter who comes in. I stand by my opinion that this side should be nowhere near the bottom of the league. We have some good players and we have some poor players - to bring a couple of highly thought of boys on loan and barely play them is a joke too. They must be fed up and I can't imagine Raith will be too happy. Why bring loan players in and not play them? I don't have a clue who is available but there is always someone out there looking who can make a difference. Who knows, maybe McGurn and Barr may do the trick? McGurn has been there and done it, highly respected and been around the club long enough to know what it's all about. Mango is a very intelligent guy who has been about a while too. He may well take to the increase in responsibility like a duck to water? I've no idea if management is something he'd have one eye on but I'm pretty sure he has a great relationship with all the current players. At least there is plenty time to get out of this mess, today is up there with the lowest points in all my years following Cowden. By the time the 4th goal went in I think I wanted more to make sure the gaffer was given the bullet which isn't a feeling I've had before.
  23. I see all member clubs are being paid a share of decent cash. I know what I'd be doing with it if it were up to me.
