What I couldn’t fathom is having our top scorer trenched in midfield. Could have just started Byrne or Matthews instead of Callum Smith and had Vaughan up front. Why is Murray playing players out of their positions when he doesn’t have to? I don’t get it at all. Really not sure what Turner actually brings either. Not entirely his fault but we’ve lost every single game since he’s been brought in. Just hopeless last night really. Couldn’t even get the basics right. Airdrie were at it and well drilled, we got what we deserved. Can always go back to the fact we’re still in a great position in the league…but 5 defeats on the trot is simply unacceptable. Read somewhere it’s our worst run of defeats since 2009? We’ve had some pish teams between then and now as well. Atmosphere slightly better with the singing section, but surely they should have been singing the majority of the game? Granted it’s hard to keep the atmosphere going when the players on the pitch are just playing with their fingers up their arse for the majority of the game though…

That was probably the worst we’ve seen at home from this group. The last 4 games at home actually have simply not been good enough. You cannot concede the amount of goals we have if we still have aspirations of promotion, automatically or otherwise. We’re lucky that Dundee United haven’t capitalised yet. So we’re still hanging on in there by the skin of our teeth. Although kinda starting to look over our shoulder now, and with Partick Thistle and United up next in the league, you’ve got to be just hoping we don’t actually get beat in those games. Tough as given how the last few games have went. I’m going to go into too much detail about the game itself yesterday. We all know the starting line-up simply wasn’t good enough. I’ve no idea what went on in Murray’s head to justify a back 3 but only one CB. It didn’t work at Livi last week, so try something different at home? We had THREE CBs on the bench. Absolutely mind boggling. If I were Corr or Masson I’d be on Murray’s door asking for a loan move to be honest. He’s always said he wouldn’t stand in people’s way if they needed game time. If we could get a settled back four for the remaining 15 matches please that would be fantastic. Hopefully with the video of Stanton training he won’t be far away from returning now too. We have missed him BADLY. His link up in the 4132 formation is crucial to the wins we had in the first half of the season. We don’t have anyone else that can play like him. It’s as simple as that. It’s a shame Murray hasn’t recognised this (hindsight of course comes in) sooner. If it means that Brown drops out then so be it (and I love the guy) With everyone fit I think our strongest eleven is: 4132 Dabrowski Millen Watson Murray Dick Byrne Easton Mullen Stanton Vaughan Hamilton. If we can use that team in the final 15 matches I don’t think we will be far away.

Tx, seriously I don’t mean to be a dick, but give it a fucking rest. “A very good player” based on what? He’s literally hardly played for us. Maybe he has had loan offers. Maybe none have suited or guaranteed game time. None of this we’ll know unless the player himself communicates this. As Grumswall has said previously, Mitchell is out at East Fife and hardly manages to get minutes. Arnott I’m not entirely sure as I haven’t really followed his progress.

Joint top of the league and we’re still going on and on and on about Adam fucking Masson. Not good enough for where we want to be, don’t think he ever has to be honest. Sounds like a nice enough boy but that’s simply not enough. IMO he simply doesn’t warrant any game time. A complete an utter last resort. Brown goes in at CB every single time over Masson. Murray even puts Brown in over Corr as well. Gies peace FFS.

The last 3 games at home have been disappointing. Shipped 8 goals. It’s not hard to see where our problems are. I didn’t think we played that badly though yesterday. Corr was solid enough, it really is hard to give a report card on him as his seasons been so stop start. McNeil unfortunate to start the last 2 games and we’ve subsequently lost them both. But can argue he hasn’t really done anything wrong. Easton trying far too hard and it’s not going for him. Also teams will definitely have a game plan to stop him. Airdrie by all accounts did it last week, and he was kept relatively quiet again yesterday. Murray’s benched him before, I think it’s about time he does it again. I can see why Mullin was deployed at RB, but again this was where QP were targeting us. The fact the boy got a run of him goal side before scoring on his weaker foot is really frustrating. A good finish none the less. Their winner is just standard pish marking and a free header. It was definitely a case of fine margins yesterday though. I was convinced Hamilton’s Header at the start of the second half was bulging in the corner of the net. Some save from Ferrie. It looked like he got a touch onto Gullan’s free kick at the death too, but haven’t watched the highlights. Couple of weeks away from league business now. An opportunity to get through in both (in which one would lead to another Challenge cup final) This season has been great so far, but this is hopefully just our “bump in the road” Judging by Murray’s interview there is still scope for 1 or 2 more bodies coming in. Whether that means that someone leaves the club though is up for debate.

I’d have preferred that he’s accepted a 3 year contract. But it’ll do. For now.
