Funnily enough, it actually isn't.  Only United, ICT and Airdrie have conceded fewer goals than Rovers (Airdrie 4 fewer and ICT 5 - United are miles ahead).  Morton have conceded the same and everyone else is worse.

Ah yeah, I suppose those recent clean sheets have propelled us up a fair bit. Prior to those games, I’m sure we were like joint bottom for goals conceded.

It really is.  Only Arbroath have scored fewer goals, albeit only three fewer and they are 15 points behind us.

Every single one of our defeats in the league this season, bar the 2-0 loss to Airdrie in January, has been by a single goal.  Only Morton have had more 0-0 draws (five to our four, Queens Park have also had four).

If you look at almost every other league, teams who have a similar defensive record to us are usually challanging at the top of the league - in the Premiership only the top four have defensive records as good, in our league only the top team, in League One and Two only the top two.

It's a testament to how utterly toothless we have been all season, completely lacking in goal threat.

Basically opposite to us, with 99% of our league wins decided by a single goal. 🤣 Our defensive record is one of the poorest though. Funny old game.

It was in your hands when we gave you a free hit at the DABs with a 0-0 up there, then again on Friday. The free hits have now ran out I think. May well be the case you've had your shot at the title, can't see you winning up there again and racking up enough points now.

Aye it’s a shame we don’t play the Pars again….

Because it’s generally the quickest way to get to the ground if you’re down the High Street beforehand, and for 16 home games out of 18 doesn’t have any bother whatsoever.

We usually walk along the Links, but last few games we’ve walked up and along Milton Road from the high street. Apart from coming back on yourself it roughly takes the same amount of time as it does walking along Links Street. Plus it’s a much more pleasant walk on the eye. 🤣

  5. You could argue that Murray was actually justified with his starting line up, because we were 2-0 up and cruising. However game management from Murray coupled with the players just shitting themselves resulted in defeat. But overall results over the weekend weren’t season defining and we’ve got 10 games left to go for it.

If we’re still only a maximum of 3 points behind United say before we go to Tannadice then I’d be happy with that. Anything closer to them will be a bonus.

  6. Great to record a shut out, especially with Morton getting it into our box relentlessly.

Frustratingly though, we weren’t able to achieve any real effort at the other end. Really, really turgid affair with little quality. Not what we’ve been used to this season anyway

A missed opportunity too given the result up in Dundee….

A chance to go top on Friday again though.

IM said that best case scenario we were looking at 3-4 weeks and worst case, it would be end of season so they need to wait on the scan results to know for sure. Hopefully we get those back soon so that if it is longer term, there is still a day or two to get someone in if available

We’ve used all our loans I think?
