A lot of it for me is to alleviate boredom. I find a lot of social occasions boring af but if you’re drunk it is literally impossible to be bored.

Will definitely scale back the drinking in Jan, mainly to help lose a few pounds of holiday beef. Drinking is such an ingrained part of our culture that sometimes you need to commit to something like dry Jan to give yourself a break. On a similar note, has anyone decided to give up vaping in 2024? I stupidly got into it having never smoked but quit cold turkey at new year. Then followed 3 days of utter hell which thankfully I seem to be coming out the other side of. Lesson Learned.

I've seen some flights that involve a 2-hour window to 'self transfer' (i.e. get through passport control, check back in and back through security). Is 2 hours enough to do all that if I'm not checking in / collecting any baggage?

Booked my flights from the 15th to the 22nd banking on the fact that we wouldn't be playing in the opener. Turns out we would be missing the third game too. Managed to get them change to 17th - 24th free of charge, but some of our lot are in a bit of a conundrum as they have enough points to ensure they get a ticket for the opener. If the ‘backup’ goalie isn’t capable of doing a job then what is he doing at the club? We seem to have completely abandoned everything that got us the results earlier in Kettlewell’s tenure. I can’t speak for today but against Ross County and Aberdeen we had midfielders in total panic mode launching the ball up the park without so much as a look up to see if we have anyone standing within 30 yards of where they are punting it. Three of the 4 strikers are just not good enough for this level. Add in several seasoned ‘pros’ who have chucked it for 3 different managers now and things really start to look grim.

How can the performance levels drop so much so quickly? We genuinely could not string two passes together and were second to everything. The wheels are well and truly off.

Has anyone bought a car from Evans Halshaw? Test drove a car about 3 weeks ago and they did not budge on the price at all. They have since reduced the it by £700. it’s been on the forecourt for about 4 months. A couple of mates of mine have suggested that it’s overpriced still because it’s a couple of grand over the ‘we buy any car’ valuation. I am often crap at negotiating so am trying not to jump in head first like I normally do.
