For the third time on this thread, can someone please explain to me why artificial turf should be banned, other than protectionism?

It’s either £5 to park at the ground (but pretty chaotic when leaving), or park at the nearby college for free - there’s bags of space there. It’s about a 15 minute walk but there’s a few detours in place because of ridiculous roadworks going on outside. Don’t break anything please.

Grass pitches are an embarrassment to Scottish football. Imagine having a game to be broadcast on Sky cancelled cos it rained a bit. Give me a pitch that looks a bit shiny on TV over a grass bog any day of the week.

I partly agree with HSW’s sentiment here. Let’s just get this league done first, and enjoy it - there’ll be plenty of time to worry about next season. Not going today and will watch on telly instead, hope those going have a cracking day.

There are minimum standards. And “looks better” has nothing to do with it. ill ask again - can someone explain what makes a grass pitch better than an artificial surface? I don’t even mean to the extent that it justifies pulling up the drawbridge yet again, I just mean why would you choose grass over plastic?

I would bear in mind how few of our seasons in the Championship we had a stable championship level right back. Always seemed to be a problem position for us.

Certainly from a Falkirk perspective, it’s a bit too raw for us. We have a bit of empathy with fans of clubs who a underperforming and being dragged down by a shit manager. Unfortunately I can see both you and Hamilton (if they fail to get up this year) being here for a while.
