  1. Well, no, fixed drainage doesn't mean the pitch will never be waterlogged. There's many examples down the years of clubs with (ostensibly) adequate drainage having waterlogged pitches due to extreme weather. The fact we could still be punished even if the pitch and drainage are brought up to SPFL standards doesn't seem right. Ross County v Hibs was postponed just before Christmas for a waterlogged pitch.
  2. At what point do this season's postponement become irrelevant? If (and I appreciate it's a big 'if') we completely overhaul our pitch and have it verified that the drainage is up to the standard required by the rules, will we still be forced to pay the suspended fine if a severe storm hits the day before a game and completely swamps the pitch? In such a scenario, why would we be any different to, say, Ross County, who had a game postponed this season because of a waterlogged pitch?
  3. Except that’s not true. Even if Rangers win all their games, if Celtic do likewise, bar one, they’ll be level on points. Rangers can’t control Celtic’s goal difference.
  4. I’m not sure why, though. The only other football they have that day is an EPL game at 4.30, and a WSL game at 6.45. There’s no EFL play-off games scheduled for that day either. It is also down on their own website as being on the Football channel.
  5. I thought we were excellent and it wouldn’t have been an injustice if we’d snatched it at the end. Fifth place in our own hands now. Which may well be good news for Aberdeen.
  6. This also now means it’s very unlikely the #Barclays will get a fifth Champions League place next season.
  7. Well that’s an enjoyable pair of results to come home to.
  8. Top class water-themed music so far. Assuming that “Tears of a Clown” is specifically for Clement.
  9. But the alternative was that we played Celtic away for a third time and Rangers at home for a third time. Something had to give.
  10. Either Sky should have insurance against postponed fixtures, or the SPFL should have insurance against Sky billing them for postponed fixtures. Postponement of a televised fixture is precisely the sort of "low likelihood, high impact" event that insurance is designed for.
  11. So the idea that our pitch was still holding up the fixtures, despite the top and bottom 6 being confirmed on Saturday, was bullshit then? The west coast media were desperate to continue the "chaos" narrative no matter what.
  12. We should have added "but our pitch has now been deemed by UEFA experts to be in considerably better condition than their tattle field" to the end.
